People remember the likes of Fireman Flynn and Primo Carnera, you don't think they will remember a future great / HoF bound Wladimir Klitschko?:patsch

You're talking about boxing people, not people in general.

Yeah, sure, boxing people will remeber him.

The general public, for the most part, won't. Not in the same way they remeber Ali or Tyson or Lewis.

Well, not many fighters are remembered like that, top10 guys like Holmes and Dempsey or even Jack Johnson are not relatively known outside of the boxing public.

THey go hand in hand, you cant think of one without thinking of the other, they will sit next to each other on everyones heavyweight all time lists.

VK is less beatable than WK but Wlad has more wins over top contenders, itll be what ever people prefer to whom they pick as best.

    Both will be remembered

But Vitali will be be rememberd more in history
Vitali was the first eastern european HW who won a title.
Vitali vs Lennox was the last big HW fight and will be remembered
Vitali's K.O. rate will be rememberd in the statistics.
Vitali's comeback after 4 years will be remembered.

Wladimir was the first eastern european who unifyed titles that's all
Vitali is a seek and destroy fightingmaschine Wladimir has turned in a clinching fighter who fights carefully.

Well vitali retired lewis,,,,i know not lewis fight, but this is important.....Cause vitali is going to be a public figure one day, an if he becomes the presedent of the Ukraine, then his record an fights like that will become important,,,,,,,He might become the first mayor of a major city at the same time being the champ,,,,alot to do with this is how long vitali keeps fighting,,,,

I got to say without those events above it would be wlad,,,,,he says he wants to fight for many more years, which is good to hear, an also important for his legacy, he'll stay on top 5 more years, he will be remembered a long time,,,,2000 is when he won the WBO, so if he goes till lets say 2014, which will put him at 37, that an about 15 more fights, good chance all by KO or TKO, that is pretty impressive, now if he deicieds to stay around an make a run a joe louis 25 defenses, we might see him till 2016, he has 6 defense now with the IBF, an he had 5 with the WBO, so let say he runs that 6 to 26 to beat louis by 1, then add his 5 for the WBO, you now have 31 defenses of a title,,,yea Vitali might need to become the president of the Ukraine to match that

Today's HW division is no worse than when Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Holmes & Tyson were fighting.

^The lack of a great American HW is certainly adding to the thoughts of a weak HW division. You see on of America's best fighters i Hasim Rahman get knocked aroundin Germany by Wladimir, an you see an overweight limited Chris Arreola on the rise. There looks like there is little hope for a great American HW anytime soon.
