Which of the Mexican featherweight greats, lasts 12 rounds against Floyd Mayweather?

He offered to weigh that much against Hamed,the most Mayweather has gained after a weigh in is 8lbs, allot of fighters gain 15lbs

Considering that the likes of Tony Pep, Carlos Alberto Ramon Rios, Gregorio Vargas and Carlos Hernandez took Mayweather to decisions at 130lbs, then I think it's a pretty safe bet that all three of the Mexican greats would make the final bell.

You telling me that the great Carlos Alberto Ramon Rios and the mighty Gregorio Vargas are better equipped to last 12 rounds than Barrera, Morales and Marquez are?!

I'm a die hard Barrera fan. The man is my hero. Does he have a cat's chance in hell of actually defeating Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130lbs? Of course he doesn't. He would most likely be stopped. I say that because Floyd usually turns the screw when he's in against someone who can't match him physically, and Barrera would probably lose heart after getting repeatedly tagged, over and over again. I don't see it being a concussive shot ending the fight, but more a mercy stoppage on the part of the referee.

Erik Morales would see 12 rounds but lose handily, as would Marquez.

Morales has literally no chance at all of beating Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130lbs. Seriously. You must know this?

 

Why does the consensus suggest that Barrera and Morales were at their best at 122lbs?

Barrera was tagged quite often down at SBW, as was Morales, and all of this whilst they were fighting a fairly average standard of opposition. If you look through Barrera's career, and you pick out his most impressive showings, you pick out Enrique Sanchez and Naseem Hamed. Former World Champions, and Marco was barely hit with a clean power shot in either fight. This was at Featherweight.

Morales most impressed me as a Super Featherweight. Showed great defensive skills against Paulie Ayala, outboxed the same Manny Pacquiao that blitzed Barrera and knocked Marquez down three times in one round. He boxed well against Hernandez. Compare these performances with the ones against an aging Daniel Zaragoza and the solid but not great Wayne McCullough.

 

First two fights would be a WAR.

 

They would all last twelve rounds against Mayweather.

A "war" is how we describe a competitive, two way battle where both combatants are dishing out and recieving a lot of punishment. Barrera, Morales, and Marquez all lack the physical capabilities to land with any regularity on Floyd Mayweather.

And just to clarify, I don't consider MAB to be the weakest of the three.

 

Morales is has the height and reach for floyd and is a better fighter than Castillo. Then again their was that raheem fight?

 

They can all fight 100X, Floyd would never get 1 KO over those 3 greats.

 

Castillo beat Marquez TODAY? You comparing 2nd tiers Manfredy, J. Chavez, etc to ATGs who were in their primes at 122-126? Floyd koing Barrera I might give you that MAB was always a sucker for a right hand, but even Pacman didnt fight a prime version of those 3. Floyd is better today than at 130 he onky looked unbeatable because there werent great fighters there with the exception of Chico. There were rumors MAB whipped Chico in sparring and at 130 Marquez would of given a better account of himself. Morales would of given Floyd hell and the closest fight. Morales might of lost by SD or MD, but Manfredy aint no Morales c'mon man.
