Floyds activity and speed at the weight would make the difference. Floyd punished Marquez but didnt throw that many punches. At 130 he'd punish Marquez and throw a **** ton of punches.

Floyd was also coming off a long lay off, 33 years old, and said himself he put in a C or D level performance.

I was singling out dominant performances specifically, and he was dominant against quite a few top fighters north of 122lbs. Naseem Hamed. Enrique Sanchez. Paulie Ayala, even by 2004, was still more capable than half of Barrera's title defenses at Super Bantamweight during the 90s. I certaintly think we saw more polished performances after he moved up in weight. He was suddenly getting hit a lot less.

Cook gave Barrera a very good fight from what I can remember. The knockout pretty much came out of nowhere, but it certainly wasn't an easy night for the young Mexican. The other three performances were absolute quality though, that much is true.

    No problem.

I consider Marco Antonio Barrera's prime to be 1999-2003. This was pretty much coming up to the end of his time at SBW. It's not an exact science. Marco didn't magically become a better or worse fighter the moment he moved to 126lbs, I just think it was around that time period he was regathering his confidence, he'd taken a lot from the Jones defeat, and all of this helped him become a more effecient, smarter fighter.

    ****ing beautiful.

Anyway, I think out of the three mentioned Morales actually puts up a good fight and makes it competitive.

Erik was done by then and that was at 135. Erik had beaten better fighters than Raheem.
