Your assessment of the WW lineage is utter nonsense. It almost begs us to discredit the rest of your post.

Mayweather relinquished it during his retirement in 2008. I know for sure that a new lineage was established when Margo v Cotto 1. By way of Tko win over Cotto, Margo was the new WW king and lineal champ. Mosley then proceeded to **** Margo to become the new lineal. When Pac avoided Mosley and instead fought Cotto, he gave away his chance to fight for the lineal title which mosley still owned.

When Mosley's fight with Berto was cancelled, he then was able to land the fight with Mayweather, who had just recently made his comeback.. Mayweather then proceed to humiliate Mosley and take back his lineal title he had given up to retirement. Since Mayweather is still active and undefeated and fighting primarily at WW, he is still lineal champ

good thread - needs to be more like it
educated posters need to help new/casual fans understand 'world champion' doesn't mean the same in boxing like it does in other sports MOST of the time

a titlist is another way of saying 'i'm not good enough to be the best in my division but they give me belts anyway'

Bradley never was the lineal junior welterweight champion in my eyes.

The title was vacated when Pacquiao moved to Welterweight after beating Hatton.

I rated Bradley and Khan as number 1 and 2 in the division at the time Bradley fought Alexander.

I rated Khan above Alexander because he handled Kotelnik with ease whereas Devon Alexander had a home time decision over him. Plus I don't think Alexander at the time had beaten anyone as highly rated as Maidana or Malgnaggi.

However even if you had Alexander and Bradley as 1 and 2, I don't think you can say Garcia should've been above the likes of Judah and Matthysse in the Junior Welterweight rankings as his biggest win was over Morales at the time- who's resume at Junior Welterweight was a loss to Maidana and a win over unproven Cano.

Wrong. Cotto v Margarito was not a fight between number 1 and 2 as Paul Williams was rated above Margarito by way of defeating him a year prior.

Arguments can also be made for Mosley being above Magarito.

By the way can someone explain to me, who hasn't voted for Yageashi the reason why?

Can't see why he's got the lowest amount of votes.

Ok the first thing is the Wladimir situation. Vitali is his brother and he can't fight him even if you want it or not. He's fought everyone worth a mention in the HW division and won.

The Floyd mayweather thing is also BS. Floyd fought Moseley who was N#1 at WW at the time. Mosley was beaten by Pacquiao after a draw with mora at 154 but it's not like that fight enhanced his stock regardless of weight.

First point- Still not relevant. If the Klitschko's wanted to fight each other, they would be able to. If a Golden Boy fighter was ranked number 1 and a Top Rank number 2 and they wanted to fight each other they wouldn't be able to due to promotional conflicts- you have to take that into account.

Secondly, I didn't rate Mosley number 1 at Welterweight at the time of the Mayweather fight. Sure he beat Magarito but we don't know how long Margarito had been fighting dirty for and hadn't fought in over a year, and his record in his previous 5 at Welterweight at the time was 2-3 with losses to Cotto and two against Vernon Forrest.

And Pacquiao deserved to be ranked in the top 2 as he was 3-0 at Welterweight with one sided wins over Oscar, Cotto and Clottey.
