Pac, Floyd and Marquez are all in the running.

There's still some way to go for Sexy, Nonito, and Ward. Sergio needs to trash Chavez and probably another name. Nonito needs to clean 122 and 126, and Ward is not yet there, but he's not yet done as well.

I believe K2 is there already as well, but people will put an * on them. Due to the fact that the division isn't that stellar.

    My thoughts:

If they retired now these would make it:

    Manny Pacquiao
    Floyd Mayweather
    Juan Manuel Marquez

    So those 3 yes

I'm also almost certain that the K-Bros are in too.

    So add those 2.

These 5 have a bit to do before they get in:
Martinez, Donaire, Ward, Bradley and Dawson.

I'll address each one in turn:
Sergio Martinez- Getting on now and may not have many fights left, even if he destroys Chavez people will say he's just doing what he's suppose to do. Then what can he do to get in? He could fight the winner of Strum-Geale, Proska-Golovkin or Quillin-N'Jikam to build up his resume. Or he could move up to Super Middleweight and challenge Ward or Froch but his trainer and promoter are reluctant for him to go over 154. There is also dropping down to fight Mayweather/ Cotto/ Alvarez but I can't imagine those guys being interested. So I'm going to say- no. Not 1st ballot anyway.

Nonito Donaire- I think the problem with Top Rank fighters is they get stuck fighting in-house fighters over and over again but a guy as ambitious as Donaire should be ok as there are plenty of Top Rank fighters at Featherweight and Super Banty. I think he beats everyone at Super Banty including Nishioka, Moreno, Mares, Rigondeaux and Arce, I also think there are enough good fighters at featherweight for him to establish a good enough resume for the Hall. Verdict- Yes

Andre Ward- Looks pretty much unbeatable at his weight and is young and hungry. His problem is hos lack of challenges, even if he moves up to 175, I think he will get in though based on a number of dominating victories over the best available oppostion. Kind of like Hopkins run at Middleweight.

Tim Bradley- Personally I'm going no on Timmy. He lost to Pacquiao quite clearly, despite what the haters say, he wouldn't beat Pacquiao in a rematch, he won't be able to best Mayweather, and I doubt he'll even beat Marquez, so I can't envisage him doing enough to get in.

Chad Dawson- I think he loses to Ward and struggles to get big fights so I'm going no on Chad too.

I think they all will apart from Bradley , Dawson won't if he loses to Ward. I see all the rest making it there or already being there.

Totally agree, no arguing against Pac,May,Marq.. Although I'd say with a certainty that K2 get in on the 1st ballot. The amount of title defenses and fashion they have defended the titles in, is almost unheard of.

The others all have a chance as well, but only time will tell and most of them are young enough to accomplish the necessities. So I'm voting purely on the accomplishments these fighters have achieved at this point. Not on what ifs or could.

The key phrase is first ballot.

I think Floyd, Pac, JMM and Wlad are locks for this, regardless of what happens in their career. I hesitated a bit before picking Vitali, but I have a feeling the fact that he came back and performed so well following a long layoff works in his favor- so he'll likely be accorded the same honor.

Dawson and Ward are essentially fighting for first ballot induction, and the winner almost certainly earns that honor once retired.

I think Donaire and Martinez likely earn induction into the Hall, but not necessarily on the first ballot as of this moment. They both need to clean out their current divisions (or at least fight a few more contenders/titleholders), before they earn consideration for first ballot inductions.

Bradley might be inducted, based on what he's done, but probably not on the first ballot unless he scores a couple more big wins without controversy.
