That's one of the thing's i noticed was his footwork was terrible, but in his previous fight vs Algeri it was superb, so it can't be aging. I'm sure the arm injury would've hampered his footwork, he couldn't move normally because of the pain from his arm.
It was good vs Algieri, against Mayweather he was thoroughly outclassed. Two different levels of fighter. Mayweather is TBE in skills and one of the goats.
It wasn't superb against Algieri. It may have been better, but not superb. If you want to see Pac's footwork way back when it was "superb" watch the DLH fight. :smoke Or watch this impeccable video recapping Floyd-Pac. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnhRdItslMs [yt]GnhRdItslMs[/yt]
Did you see any reports Mayweather had injured shoulders plus his poor little hurt hands . That's whats being claimed to try to excuse his lack of agression
I don't see how this should matter? Floyd's never been especially aggressive and I wasn't expecting him to suddenly become aggressive against Pacquiao. He was his usual self for the most part.
Hagler really did beat Leonard . The scumbag Leonard back stabbed Donald Curry's chance of a Hagler fight . He was supposed to be be retired & Don's advisor & talked Don out of challenging Hagler & instead negociated the fight for himself behind Don's back. That one reason I call him Saccharin Ray Leonard he aint fit to be called Sugar Ray
But before the fight he was bragging how he was going to come out aggressive & go for the KO which was just more Floyd BS once he tasted Pacs power. Floyd shaved the fight yes against an obviously lacking Pac What would have happened had Pac been 100% ?? I voted that saying Pac's injury was fake as worse though because to do so would cause me to accuse a top surgeon of lying. No surgeon is going to do that
