Not great fighters but good fighters who had absolute rock solid chins. These guys managed to grab belts and make it near the top of their divisions, much respect. I would go with Glen Johnson. Since he has been stopped but has never been down and never really even close to going down. He fought the best competation. Roy, Tarver, Dawson, and B-Hop. None could break him and Hopkins was really giving him an unholy beating. Tested through 3 divisions. 62 professional fights which along with Baldomir is the most on this list. He has done it all. Maybe the best chin since Hagler or Chavez. All 4 of these men could take some serious heat. Most will probally choose McCall cause he is a heavyweight though. 1. Glen Johnson 2. Oliver McCall 3. Wayne McCullough 4. Carlos Baldomir
I think Glen's chin is at least as good as McCullough's and McCall's for the reasons I stated above. I would say the best chin since Chavez. I think McCall's is better than Chuvalo's though.
McCullough and McCall are interchangebale at the top. and well ahead of the others, in terms of chin. McCollough went the distance with prime Naz AND Morales.
McCollough. He would eat ridiculous looking power shots from guys who at the time were considered the hardest punchers in the sport p4p and not even budge. I don't know if it's true but I reda somewhere that his skull is like twice as think as the normal person's and that's why he can take those shots.
Wayne McCullough:- Zaragoza, Morales, Hamed and Vasquez to name just a few gigantic punchers. McCall also up there with Wayne.
A lot of respect for McCullough in this thread. He probally fought the biggest punchers of the 4. Glen Johnson's chin has withstood the test of time better though. He has been fighting for 16 years and still never been down. His chin is the most consistent and he keeps taking the bombs.
