Roach and Steward are well ahead of Nazim. Hopkins strategy was poor in the fight against Calzaghe, and while Nazim can't fight for him, he should have been emphasising activity and workrate because that's what the judges look at in such fights. In fact, before Mosley beat Margarito, nobody seemed to give a damn about Nazim.
Impossible to answer such a question. I always say there are great boxer-trainer relationships and that often means more than the actual knowledge and "pure skills" of a trainer. After all, the fighter is the talent fighting in there and the trainer's job it instruct him to victory, you can't put one trainer over another because he has the better talents. Now what I can answer is who would I choose to be my coach. That would be Nazim Richardson, and no, I didn't come up with the name lately, Nazim was there before, he's just getting more attention now.
i voted for steward... his longevity and ability to train and improve more than just one fighter... i think roach is a good trainer.. but who else has be turned into a superstar/overall better fighter other than pacquaio??... no one... and don't even get me started with nazim... :rofl
