IMO he's already one of the top trainers his father trained Vargas, his little brother Mickey is a very solid prospect and Donaire didn't go to him on a whim, Rios has a very solid inside fighting game he didn't have a magic spell for Margarito to somehow beat Pac but Garcia has definitely produced results an is a top trainer in my book.

Dude, I didn't give this much thought, and given the fact we're limited to 10 choices, someone was bound to be left off that deserves mention.

I like the old school-new school that Roach is employing.

Yes i totally agree.. What i meant by 10 years, is that he will be widely recognized by boxing people as being on par with the Roaches,Stewards,Beristains.. He already has passed up guys like Mcgirt,Atlas and some of the others mentioned here.

Garcia had some damn good boxing skills when he was fighting(but not so hot chin) and unlike some other gifted fighters from the past, he seems like a good teacher and able to pass what he knows on to his guys.

vargas' training should be credited to the Garcia's they brought him up from the amateurs to world level, much like they did with brandon rios and victor ortiz (maybe not ortiz so much).

I personally like Steward, he works with what you have. Roach is cool, but EVERYONE is on his nuts

Can anybody tell me about Roger Bloodworth? I haven't heard of him before Adamek but he's done a pretty good job with him.

i think ronnie shields is a better coach for adamek, adamek trained with shields for arreola and looked better than any of his heavyweight fights.

bloodworth to my knowledge has trained jeff lacy, david tua, robbie peden and now adamek, probably trains more but i'm not sure.

    John Breen!

Roach although I think Buddy McGirt gets a bad press, like even Malignaggi blamed McGirt for his loss against Hatton...but McGirt gave Paulie perfect advice which Paulie just refused to follow.

Bloodworth trained Andrew Golota and Fernando Vargas when they were both at their best in the mid/late 90s.

Ronnie Shields was only brought into Adamek's camp because Bloodworth was with Tua. Bloodworth still worked the corner. Shields and Bloodworth each co-trained fighters many times in the past so it was a good fit given the circumstances.
