He's no.2, so I dont give him much credit for being the no.2 for years. Especially when his 'prime' consisted of big wins over Hide, Williams and Sanders.

And saying 'that's your opinion'? Fair enough two can play at that game, that's your opinion.

The finish wasnt, and that was what was all wrong with Bruno, he didnt know what to do when hurt, but he'd boxed well early, and that was the point I was making, that he could dominate with his jab.

I think the McCall who charged down Lewis beats Wlad, Wlad just cant handle pressure.

McCall caught Lewis with a perfectly timed counter.

What about agression S.R? What about the fact he'll walk through anything Wlad can throw at him.
You can bet your life that McCall was going to charge right at Wlad, and Wlad cant handle pressure.
McCall was limited, but he has real power in both hands, an iron chin and a ton of agression.
Those are tools which can beat Wladimir, and Vitali too.
Not saying he would, but he could, and Id definitely pick him over Wlad if he was properly focused(the big question mark)

McCall was aggressive from the get go, and always going for it with Lewis.
And, no it wasnt a counter, a counter is in response to something, they both threw at the same time, McCall landed first and flush!

I watched this fight relatively recently.

****ed me off the same amount as the night it happened when Frank got caught with that punch from row Z.

    It was a counter.

You shouldn't categorise counters like that. There are different ways of countering. There is the Pernell Whitaker style wherein you're making your opponent miss by miles and then hitting them in response to their effort. There is also the Archie Moore style in which you're setting traps and walking your opponent onto punches.

McCall caught Lennox jumping in and laid him out. It was a counter. Countering is a versatile art, not a science.

Yes, thats countering a movement, as I said, a counter by definition is in response to something, a movement or a punch.
He wasnt responding to anything, its was two heavyweights, re-engaging after seperation throwing at the same time, McCall got home first.
Thats not countering, he was head down throwing the home run, Lennox was doing the same chin out.

Vitali beat all the fighers that put Wlad on ***** street. He made a habi of it.

Vitali being regarded as on the edge of the Top 20 ATG list is a common opinion. It's not just my opinion.

Frank Bruno, to go back to my original point, would be destroyed by Vitali or Wlad.

I think you're being stubborn, it was definitely a counter. You're talking about countering a movement, well you just owned yourself, because Lennox lunged in, McCall stood there, saw the opening, and twisted his hips with full force and smashed home a monster right hand.

If you don't think it's a counter then there's no point in us carrying on this conversation, it definitely was. Peace to you.

I think a fight between Bruno and Wlad is very interesting.

I do think that Vitali would probably smash Bruno though.

    Just your opinion.

And I can assure you, I can find you PLENTY of people in the Classic who don't rate Vitali that highly. In fact, anyone that does, send 'em to me :hi:
