Wilder at 215 pound mass: do you belive he hit less hard at that weight than all 270 pound heavyweights around today?

all good correct form punchers at same weight hit with same force ?
any 160 middleweight with correct punch form will hit same as Julian Jackson?

(& same speed:Jackson punch speed was nothing remarkable)

Most 270 pound HWs are fat and can't transfer the mass at the same speed as Wilder due to this. If he hits at 30mph and they hit at 20mph he hits with the same amount of force they would if they were 322 pounds. There's likely a lot more variation in HW punching speed due to the fact their levels of fitness vary more.

Yes, if they punch at the same speed as him with correct form and weight transfer, they will have as much force in their punch. Jackson had good timing and accuracy, which made his punches more effective than other people at his speed and weight.

He might have transferred 2% more mass than most punchers, but even if he did, that doesn't explain the difference in "power" by itself. A lot of it really is just down to the good technique in punching you don't think about, like timing.

Also, a lot of boxers don't consistently punch with good form for power, choosing to punch slowly due to lack of effort or choosing to arm punch because it is safer/lack of effort. So they could hypothetically hit as hard as him, but don't actually do so consistently.
