None of them, as they've all flaws that would be terminal over 15.

But Forrest has the best shot at pinching it & Honeyghan also, Lloyd's a very underated box/fighter, fast/smart & slick when he wanted to be. Pity as after he's dismantled Curry he went into handbag swinging mode in the ring & all round party animal but he'd deff give Duran a run for his money & proberbly would lose on cuts late or 3/4 points but a close fight up till the 11/12 but he'd have his moments.

Forrest... if he brought his AAA+++ game to town & Duran was below par wins a split... but he also could get chopped down after 12.

Breland... gets flattened out of the blue in 9 after a good start.

Taylor... gets smashed up & stopped on his feet around 10 with the usual Duva protest.

Starling... just gets outworked over the final 1/3 & drops a wide U/D.

Mayorga... dream fight, dream press conference's & weigh in, absolute ****in Mayhem would ensue...... Mayorga gets brutaly & systematicly smashed to bits...it's another Davey Moore massacre only speeded up.

Williams... NAH, just can't see it, regardless of his size, he's sloppy & if Margo had got his thumb outer his bum earlier he would have beat Williams as he dominated the 2nd half of that fight & Margo ai'nt exactly known for his defence or speed of foot.

Margarito... This is a death match...15 rounds of sheer fistic brutality.. toe 2 toe on a hanky....15 round shutout & Margo's still standing.

It's Honeyghan for me who has the best chance, he could do it all & if an upset was on the cards Lloyds yer man for it.

I chose Forrest. Forrest = slim, rest of them = none.

That is a poor list for anyone to beat Duran. I only picked Forrest who would use his speed to beat Duran. Breland's chin would not hold up to Duran, Taylor would be too small at 147 to beat Duran. Starling would be a great inside fight with Duran, but vice versa. Starling stands too stationary and Duran would land body shots and win a decision down the stretch. Honeyghan,Mayorga and Margarito would be too in front of Duran, although Margarito would be exciting for awhile but would fall to Duran. You put in guys who would stand in front of Duran too much, and those type of guys lose to Roberto's style. That is why I said Iran Barkley was made for Duran, he stood on the inside and that is perfect for Duran. but the movers and speed guys would beat Duran. Benitez,Hearns,Leonard and Pernell and Mayweather. Guys like that beat Duran. They use speed and the ring and fast combinations. They do not sit there and wait for a counter which he is great at. The guys who stand in front of him probably would not win. Meldrick would give Duran a good fight for a little while, but would be hit too often and stopped late.

    You've clearly missed the point.

    That was the idea.

Forrest would get absolutely hammered, nowhere near relaxed enough , nor does he really have the legs to fight in reverse all night. He couldn't even contain Mayorga.

It boils down to Forrest, for all reasons already mentioned above and maybe an inspired Starling (doubtful)..one things for sure, Duran would have humiliated Mayorga..dispatching him quicker than he did Pipino Cuevas.

Honeyghan was a damn good hitter and I think he has the best chance out of all those, esp. if he managed to catch Duran cleanly.

If it was for a 10 rd bout similar to the deJesus fights I would give meldrick the best chance of getting out to an early pts lead. But over 12 and even more at 15 I think Duran would wear him down, similar to the way chavez did.

Over 12-15 rds meldrick would not remain my pick, although his chances would be as good as many on the list. If I had to choose I guess Forrest or Margarito (although his come forward style seems like it should play right into Duran's favor as well).

    Over 10 Meldrick

    over 12-15 Forrest

Marlon Starling would have the best shot to beat him.

Forrest had the best shot but the Duran from the first Leonard fight beats any of them ...

Forrest was hilariously overestimated on this thread.
