These recent fighters arguably fought the best competition consistently.. with many big names on their resume.. which one would you say truly fought everyone? Or be the last guy you would call a duck because he truly took on the best competition....

Notice Pac and Mayweather are not options :D... discuss...

    POLL

    Hopkins

    De La Hoya

    Mosley

    Cotto

Honestly, all of them fought who they could.

Margarito and Wright's resumes are limited because people were reluctant to fight them.

Shane Mosley has losses on his record because he fought anybody, and didn't attempt to pad his record and bank account with Stiffs.

Oscar De La Hoya fought a who's who of challenges in his career, and was never outclassed. (If you ignore one weight drained performance)

Hopkins beat everybody at MW and could of retired or moved up without taking on big, young, hungry Jermain Taylor, but he took the fight. (Probably to try and mess up Lou DiBella but still) Since he returned to fight Tarver, his resume has been fantastic, and a win over Dawson will bump him up even higher on the ATG listings. The only name missing is a prime Jones, and maybe a prime Calzaghe.

Cotto has fought everyone, and will continue to do so. A warrior.

I find it hardest to criticize Oscar for anything.

With Hopkins, you can argue he was avoiding Dawson, but I don't blame the 46 year old. Plus he just fought him last and is rematching him, so no complaints.

Mosley arguably avoided Paul Williams and he did avoid Mayweather.

Winky avoided nobody really, but he turned down a career high payday vs Oscar.

Cotto is accused of avoiding Williams and Martinez

Screw Margarito, but I can't think of any examples of him though.

PS. I don't believe all of this, but it's just what's put out there

By fighting Cotto Floyd is not "ducking" Manny-Cotto actually presents Floyd with more problems than Pacroid-

Pacroid has a weak jab and amatuer hooks too much-Floyd would pick em apart easy-

Style wise, Cotto is harder for Floyd than Pac.

Margarito doesn't duck people, people ducks Margarito

All the others can be accused of avoiding someone at some point

oh ya good point. And Winky and Oscar were negotiating to fight, and Winky priced himself out, but I don't think he was afraid of Oscar or anything. Just got greedy

Oscar, but just because he did it longer than Cotto. Neither one ducks anyone.
