I think Floyd would fight with Oscar and maybe Leonard.

Yes, stupid ass. He took vacations once he got to the top, like my initial post reads.

Once Floyd beat DLH/Hatton, he began taking vacations. Prior to that he fought very frequently against anyone. He fought as frequently or more than Pac did... After all, they promoted by the same man, Bob Arum.

Posts like these are so stupid. If you watched boxing for more than two years, you'd know that when Floyd was as small as 135 he was calling out Oscar/Mosley/Tszu/anyone and everyone after fights. Oscar, in his prime, being called out by a much smaller Floyd. It happened.

But since Oscar didn't take the fight until he began to fade, that's Floyd's fault and Floyd's a cherry-picker.

Pac fans will forever be disillusioned.

Floyd started to take vacations during the second half of his career, after two monster paydays in Hatton and ODLH at age 31.

Oscar did the same thing. He was apporx 31 after the second Mosley fight and only fought 6 more times. They were no longer fights, but events. Similar to what Floyd is doing.

Floyd's work came early, since then he has been about money. Even with that said, 4 out of his last 6 fights are future HOF's, with Hatton possibly going in to make it 5. Mosley and Marquez were top 5 pfp fighters, Cotto, Hatton, Oscar were around top 10 at the time of the fights.


The answer to the thread question would be Prime Tyson. Shame jail deprived boxing fans to see how great of a run Tyson could of really had.

 

Based on his career, the only proper answer is the last. In Mayweather's defense, there have been mitigating circumstances surrounding every big fight he didn't make. The one constant, however, is Mayweather.

Not only was Hagler a legitimate 160 pounder, but he's Marvin freaking Hagler. Floyd shouldn't be expected to fight a middleweight great and wouldn't....even if Roger and Sr. got to go in the ring with him.
