I don't consider Jones from THIS era. Hopkins neither (he was already past his prime ten years ago). We have left: Mayweather, Pacquiao, Wlad.

    1. Mayweather-Pacquiao winner
    2. Wlad

he beat eubank in 97 i think, and then Lacy in 07, he went a whole decade fighting nobody of note.

Surely if your division has no big names, most fighters would move up chasing fame, fortune and the big fights.

Calzaghe was happy defending his wbo title beating up Welsh miners.

Hmm ... Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are far, far ahead the rest of the bunch. Not to be unexpected, of course.

I notice a close run between Roy Jones Jr and Wladimir Klitschko. Wlad is the greater IMO, but Roy gets support because he fought Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, Antonio Tarver and John Ruiz. Too much binary thinking. Bernard wasn't a very complete fighter when Roy did a number on him, and Antonio extracted brutal vengeance for his loss to Roy. That leaves us with James Toney and John Ruiz - the latter a decent but clearly limited HW. The dramatic rise and downfall of Roy doesn't outshine Wlads decade long reign of terror.

You need more than abilty to be the greatest of your era. You need to prove it.

It's a close call but I think people forget what Pac did at the beginning of his career. Mayweather is getting more focus now but if you look back from the beginning to now, I pick Pac but as I said it's admittedly close. I certainly don't have a problem with someone picking Mayweather.

What exactly is your problem? I and the majority of people here picked Pac, but getting KTFO against a fighter Mayweather dominated with ease doesn't help his case any.

My problem? Wtf does it matter if Pac gets KO. The resume is black and white its not opinion based its fact just like gravity. This is not a who would win scenario. You just read the ****ing resume and vote.

So wtf are you guys problem.

Are we a boxing forum or are we a soap opera?????

look at there ****ing resume and then explain to me how 43 people has voted Mayweather wtf is going on. Has the world gone mad or what

I look at it like this.
Most Dominant - W.Klitchsko been the most unbeatable dude on the planet for a decade even if the HW division is considered weak still beating some of the best he can get today.

Most Exciting - M.Pacquiao his story and rise is a great one to sell, but people rarely scrutinize him like they do others on account of him being small even though officially he's outweighed his opponent's in most of his most meaningful fights.

Greatest overall - F.Mayweather especially after he beat's Pac "May 2nd" been a Champion/Lineal Champ for 15/17 yrs as a pro, most champs beaten all time, tied for most Lineal Titles all time(could break the record if he fight's Cotto only in Sept tho), most skills all around and most importantly most champs beaten coming off dominant runs.
