Based on current resume, only Casamayor, Marquez, Winky and Calderon would get my vote, and I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of those get left out.

Of the others, Darchinyan, Johnson and Adamek are closest. Narvaez might make it in if he breaks the flyweight defense record, even though he's only fought a few fighters worth ****. Chris John can get close if he has a few more big wins.

    Thoughts:

Tarver is not getting in as it stands right now. Neither is a guy like Ruiz.

Vitali has some more work to do a win over Valuev giving him the WBA belt probably gets him in. Regardless he has to win a few more fights before I would be confident of him getting in.

Is Calderon's resume better than Adamek's?

Eh. His resume doesn't look as good in retrospect as it looked when he made the fights. Other than Mosley, what really good wins does he have? Trinidad was toast. Quartey was toast. He drew Taylor. He lost to Simon and Vargas. His third best win is probably against Bronco McKart.

I'd vote for him, but somewhat reluctantly.

Not necessarily, but I'd vote for him on the basis of being the second most dominant fighter in the history of his weight class, and then moving up and beating a BIG junior flyweight to become lineal there, despite the fact that he weighs 100 pounds soaking wet.

He has an argument for having a better resume than Adamek's though. Adamek is a whopping 3-1 against other former and future titleholders.

Winky beat Vargas IMO, Trinidad was not 'toast', and Winky definitely beat Taylor. When you consider some of the fighters already in the HOF, Winky is a lock IMO. He is one of the best lightmiddles ever.

Vitali when you take into account when he was active and who was available when he was active would seem to be a strong candidate. His hotly disputed loss to Lewis probably puts him closer than Wlad's last ten wins. :think

You said you'd vote Calderon on resume, now when you've been called on it you're citing anything but resume!

I don't have a problem with anyone putting Calderon in there, but to say you're putting him in there purely on resume is BS.

Once Ruiz beats Valuev and becomes champ for the third time he will be a lock for the hall of fame.

he is the best indonesian fighter ever...hall of fame is what you have done for others to follow and he is the hero of hundred of millions indonesians. Same as gatti and hamed...john, hamed and gatti would be remembered

he would be remembered and that is enough to get him in the HOF but not in his first year of eligibility...only ATGs are inducted in their first year..
