Every time I think about this, my opinion fluctuates a little.

Right now I'm liking this. Even though I don't personally feel Ricky's earned it; based on resume you have to give it to him. Kostya was king**** when Ricky battered him.

its all about how you would be remembered..calderon can be used as an standard for every 105 fighter is compared..

sadly for adamek,he would have to share the limelight with half a dozen more at crusier

if penalosa wins a title at 122, he may have a shot...seldom do you see a fighter that is three division champion that is snob of the HOF...

i hope his farewell fight would be a 122 title shot

    :-(

The legitimacy of his victory over Juan Manuel Marquez should be disputed considering many eye witnesses accounts shout robbery. Suspiciously, the fight took place in Chris John's backyard.

Other than that, he holds a win over a one paced, average, gate keeper, named Rocky Juarez.

No way is John even remotely close to being a HOF.

Calling him the best Indonesian fighter of all time is more testament to how lacking that particular country is of world class professionals more than the quality of the fighter in question.

^^^yes, but he would be remembered, and add that to his title reign than that is enough to land him a ticket at the HOF

    :-( Nope.

This is Boxing, let's forget about how much he means in his native country. What he did in the ring is the only thing relevant here, and his greatest and only note worthy win is over Marquez in his own backyard. It isn't enough, it trivializes the hall of the fame, ultimately.

if darchinyan losses, he would not give him a vote in the hall of fame...
if he beats donaire and wins a title at 122, he is top 100 ATG

Tarver is borderline to me. Casamayor and Wright in. Vitali is borderline.

Marco Antonio Barrera, for example, only just scrapes on most users top 100 ATG lists here at ESB. Darchinyan is not remotely close to achieving what that man did during his peak.

For what its worth, Nonito is a stylistic nightmare for Vic and always will be.

putting barrera outside of top 80 is bias against lower weight fighters...

:good I would personally have Marco in the top 70.

I still, for whats its worth, would not have Darchinyan in the top 100 as a result of beating Nonito.

I am a huge fan of Donaire, I think he is one of the best fighters in the world, but he hasn't done a lot himself yet.
