Which of these guys in their prime would James Toney have beat at Cruiser? Johnny Nelson Juan Carlos Gómez O'Neil Bell Steve Cunningham Tomasz Adamek David Haye Jean Marc Mormeck Carlos De Leon Evander Holyfield Vassiliy Jirov *2
He would beat all of them except Holyfield. EDIT: I accidently voted for Holyfield, I didn't read the question right.
It depends on which toney shows up . . . but he could beat them all but I would give the slight edge to the real deal
Is that "current Toney" who's going back to Cruiser to fight Lebedev, or Toney when he fought at Cruiser? That would make a huge difference in my answer. Current Toney... none of them. Cruiser (younger) Toney... most of them.
Actually I would favor Holyfield. Holyfield at cruiserweight was a beast. He was fast, he hit hard, was a good boxer, and was tough as nails. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L50gu8Kr9k[/ame]
Would favor Holyfield. Jirov could fight him tooth and nail but probably not win. Haye would probably get stopped late. Don't see many great match-ups here against Toney.
I didn't vote for the couple guys that I feel would win 1 out of every 4 matches if they fought, prime for prime, that many times consecutively. That list includes only Holyfield, Gomez, and Cunningham. I would expect to take **** for Cunningham, but 1 out of every 4... just how I feel...
Is Toney on the anabolic gear or off it? Seriously though I see Holyfield being about 2 levels above Toney at 190/200 lbs. Others like Gomez, Cunningham, Adamek, and Bell I see having success boxing Toney on the outside. James at CW had lost almost all his footspeed and this is the way to beat him. Guys like Mormeck and Jirov, who are both warriors, would fight Toney on the inside and would get chewed up and spat out.
