Which of these is ruled a knockdown? A) You hit your opponent clean but you break your hand and go down on one knee because of the pain. B) You hit your opponent clean and hard, as they stumble to the canvas your legs get tangled contributing to his fall even more. C) You hit your opponent with an accidental head butt, which stuns him. But you follow up with a quick combination which knocks him down. D) You hit your opponent with a clean punch, but the follow up punch clips him in that back of the head lightly, and he goes down complaining.
A&C D depends on how the ref interpets it. B no A is called a knockdown it happned to PBF against Hernandez. C sounds like Holt-Torres 2 which was ruled a knockdown
in my eyes A, B, and D should be knockdowns. In B you said "contributing to his fall even more" which means he would have fallen anyways. In D, if the clean punch behind the head is the root of the knockdown and the followup was not a damaging rabbit punch, then its a knockdown. C shouldn't. Accidental headbutt, ref should step in and split up the fighters right away. If he doesn't have time and a follow-up shot knocks the guy down, then imo he should give the guy 5 minutes to recover.
