Like many others JCC and Whitaker would be my top two choices. Definitely the JCC would be a war where the winner would most likely be the guy with the better defense and the guy who can best take a punch.

Duran vs Whitaker would also be a great fight for different reasons. Duran would have to find away to slow Whitaker down, either by trapping him alone the ropes or by landing vicious body punches or by his constant pressure, but it wouldn't be an easy fight for either one of them.

I agree, personally I don't see anyone under 140 beating Duran in an inside war, as you said, he simply had all the tools, including a great, great chin, and defense.

    Pernell Whitaker, possibly Boza-Edwards.

I voted Carlos Ortiz. Ortiz is way underrated. He was a fantastic fighter. Duran vs Ortiz would be an amazing display of technical skills, and brutality.

I can't see a list either.... But all good choices listed above.

I might add that Ismael Laguna would have been a good match. Both were from Panama and this bout conceivably could have taken place in real time. Laguna was a slick boxer and remember that Duran dropped a decision to Estaban DeJesus right after winning the title from Buchanan. Also, Laguna was never stopped. Boxer vs brawler.

Laguna was Duran's boxing hero coming up. Though I guess Roberto wouldn't turn down a fight.

I think peak Duran is the best ever lightweight but Whitaker had the style and class to give him some problems before losing a decision.

Duran vs Williams would be a brawl for the ages.
As would Duran vs Armstrong and Chavez.

I'd pick him to go 3-0 there, I'd like to see how hed have done against Whitaker and Leonard, who I'd pick him to go 0-2 against.
