Which of these PPVs will you be buying

Chisora's a borderline top 15 fighter at best, a gatekeeper ....
.... and Usyk's not proven as a heavyweight contender yet at all.
How on earth can that be a PPV main ?

In a sane world, Chisora-Usyk and Povetkin-Whyte 2 are decent undercard support for a mediocre heavyweight world title fight and could be on a PPV show.
Joshua-Pulev is mediocre main event but Joshua is pure box office and holds the WBA, IBF and WBO titles ....... so if you threw all three on together it's a reasonable PPV, nothing amazing, not a "must buy", but it could be good.

Separately, for £20 a go, in hard economic times, for the average fan who already subscribes to SKY, that simply takes the ****.
Hearn's a greedy ****, and he encourages his fighters to be greedy and it's perhaps become unrealistic now, I really think it might bite them in the ass this time.

£60 extra spent on watching boxing (on SKY) in six week period, in the lead up to Christmas, in a lean year for the average man who is struggling. Maybe not a good idea.

 

I won’t be buying any, but if I were forced to then probably Usyk, purely because it’s Usyk. Would also depends on how the full cards pan out

 

Sky's casual market are going to be squeezed further. Selected football matches will now be on Sky Box Office.

The football games on PPV won’t be the top draw head to heads as those are already allocated for the regular channels.

I’m amazed Sky have gone along with this as it seems to tone deaf in the middle of major job losses in the country.

Utter, utter madness. £15 for Fulham v Burnley... The world has gone completely and utterly mad. It had gone mad a while back, certainly in England. When you see no-mark football clubs like Burnley turning down £30m offers for nonentities like James Tarkowski, you know that it's time to turn off the lights and go home. Jesus ****ing wept, £15 on top of a Sky Sports subscription. As you said it can now cost up to £35 just to watch a few hours of sport on a weekend ON TOP of a Sky subscription. During a global recession.

 

A lot of fans have paid their club's their season ticket money out of pure loyalty to help their teams during the pandemic KNOWING that there may be zero chance of actually attending a football match this season. In Scotland, the clubs are at least providing all home games free to stream for every season ticket holder which is something. But I think the TV rights in England prevent that, meaning that English fans will have to pay £15 PPV to watch the games not on Sky Sports despite potentially paying up their season ticket money.

Yes mate. Sky are putting it up directly against Everton v Liverpool on BT which is a big show of faith in Scottish football. Would be interesting to analyse the numbers after. I was convinced they'd move our game to the Sunday. Basically a football version of Hearn (Stevie G) v Warren (Jurgen Klopp).
