You could say that all three are excellent achievements, but.......

    Was Mayweather cherrypicking?

Why didn't Calzaghe unify earlier - was it necessary to make 17 defences first?

Did Mosley give Tszyu the swerve?

    calzaghe...easy.

bhop was old as dirt, and jones doesnt pose a threat to anyone at this stage of his career.

only decent fighters he beat that werent aged were kessler and lacy.

Yeah Calzaghe resume lacks some substance.

I think Cortez's referreeing made Hatton become more reckless than usual, leaving himself wide open from round six onwards.

It is much easier to stop a guy when he is boxing like a prat instead of sticking to the gameplan which was, to a degree anyway, working for the first five rounds.

A fight at 140 should have happened mid-2006 to unify all three belts at lightwelter, though Hatton probably wasn't enough of a 'name' at that stage.

Whats the point of any of this????   :patsch

Are we really gonna make a ruling at the end of the day on who the greater fighter is out of the 3?????

It's just a question about who had the best single accomplishment out of the three :deal Thats all....it won't be used against you in court dude :patsch

Could the Hatton of the Tszyu fight in '05 beaten Mayweather at 140?

Pacfan, this thread is a joke right?
Comparing Calzaghes resume to that of Mosley and Floyd is you trying to be funny right?
A while back I said I think you post to much about Calzaghe and you said

And then you go and start a pointless thread about comparing Joe's resume to that of guys who fought in much stronger divisions, Before I said you weren't a hater but starting this thread cannot be just to have strong useful debate, but to hate on Joe. You really do seem obsessed with Calzaghe.

You are being monumentally stupid, both in your premature assessment of me and in your strange prejudice against one of your own favourite fighters.

Please explain why you, unlike me, think that Joe Calzaghe's resume is so obviously inferior to Shane Mosley's??

You may apologize at will. Idiot.

 How pathetic of you to resort to insults, This is an internet forum and even though we may never meet in real life your showing such a lack of manners really shows alot about you as a person, You are a keyboard commando, simple.
Now to answer your question in a grown up manner rather than just calling you names.
Yes I like Joe very much, I also believe that his resume, although good is not great, I rate him so high purely on talent rather than names like Veit and Pudwill (as people like you so often have to mention)
I think that Mosley fighting people like, De la hoya, cotto, forrest, winky and signing to fight Margo is better than Calzaghe fighting Eubank, Kessler and Hopkins, I won't mention Lacy as "everyone" knew he was a bum before they fought
And I won't mention RJJ as he was shot as "everyone" also knows.
Now since I state my opinion and you call me both "monumentally stupid" and an "Idiot" for doing so without any reasonable form of debate or even an attempt to change my mind shows alot about you as a person and quite clearly, to me at least, proves you are a hater.
Grow up child, this is an internet forum not a school yard.

You're logic is so flawed that I don't even know where to begin. But then again you're a irrational PBF hater so I guess that explains it.:-(
You overlook all the good fighters he fought like Chico, JLC 2x, G.Hernandez, Chavez, Hatton and Oscar and make excuses to discredit them while not doing the same for Mosley and Calzaghe's wins pathetic. You have no credibility in this discussion and can't be taken seriously.

You came onto this thread without even reading or considering it, letting your own prejudices about me inform your post, sorry but that is stupid.

Mosley's resume is basically 2 wins over De La Hoya (1 of which he didn't deserve), 5 defeats, and wins over such luminaries as Philip Holiday and Luis Collazo, and shot versions of Vargas and Mayorga.

If you think that that is just so good that Calzaghe's resume can't even compare, that it can't even be debated, you are indeed an idiot.

Disappear troll, you have embarrassed yourself on this thread with your prejudice and poor knowledge.

These polls dont work because it all comes down to who has the most fans. Calzaghe probably has more fans than the other 2 and will therefore get more votes.

You truly are a laugh riot. So now we are judging by wins on the resume not just the fighters on it?
I am of the belief that an 0 doesn't really mean that much in the context of greatness but if that is how you are making your judgments maybe you should have mentioned it here

The only person here embarrising themselves here is you with your clear obsession with Calzaghe. You think I'm a troll for disagreeing with you, I think you are a mixed up, lonely little boy.
You jump straight in with insults instead of trying to accept that people have different opinions. How very childish and narrow minded you are.
