Byrd would absolutely school Wilder, didn't need to look at the rest

I'd bet on him to beat Thompson and Mccline.

Samuel Peter is a 50/50 fight to me.

However, the rest beat Deontay Wilder. This mythical status of Wilder somehow being able to beat anybody and everybody by decapitation that he hasn't fought is quite frankly detestable and baseless to say the least. He has had enough opportunities to fight similar caliber opposition from his own era and outside of Fury, avoided each and every prime opponent from the top 10. This is a fact!

Why hasn't he fought Dillian Whyte, Dereck Chisora, Joseph Parker, Kubrat Pulev, Michael Hunter, Oscar Rivas or any of the other similar level PRIME opponents?

Outside of Fury, the only other PRIME opponent at the caliber of those Wladimir Klitschko victims that I believe would beat Wilder, that Wilder has fought, was Johann Duhaupas.

Now here's the question to those under this impression Wilder is going to decapitate and run through every one of those opponents with ease. Why didn't Wilder drop or cleanly KO, much less decapitate Johann Duhaupas? But somehow he's going to decapitate those other guys who were at least as good, if not better than Duhaupas?

    Come back to reality folks!

Wilder is nothing special Never has and never will be!

Yep, the only one he could have beaten is Jameel Mcline. The rest would be strong favourites against him. Too many solid boxers with good amateur backgrounds on this list. No Shpilkas or Molinas, who are the usual Wilder's opponents.

Well, the best guy Wlad ever fought was Tyson Fury. And Wilder had Fury on the floor twice and drew with him.

No one listed there is remotely as difficult to beat as Fury. In fact, most of them barely scraped by or plain lost against far lesser boxers.

So, basically, Wilder would likely beat all of them.

I think Lamon Brewster would end Wilder quickly.

Ibrahomov , Byrd and Pulev make him look bad win or lose . Povetkin is still a question mark ,either way Klitschko handled these guys easy where they would be in an Ortiz category for Wilder and I’d favor the Haye that Wlad fought over him as the speedy puncher .

Wilder had him on the floor and drew when Fury was 50%, and 85% of the boxing community still thought Fury won.

But this is not a hate Wilder thread. Thank you for your contribution.

Leapai is not on the list.

Yeah, Thompson was a #1 contender. Pulev has earned two title shots by beating Thompson, Dimentrenko, Ustinov, Chisora, hugh Fury, and Peter before he became a professional opponent. It is actually very comparable to Wilder's record.

Look at the results. As of right now, less than 50% of people think that Wilder would beat Pulev, so how is this a ridiculous question?

This is NOT a hate Wilder thread, but I am not going to grossly exaggerate his abilities to the point where we are not allowed to ask questions, either.

Thank you for your vote and opinion.

None of them are near sure bets. Obviously though McCline and Thompson are the closest but both would be very live dogs against Wilder at their best.

Exactly my thoughts. Thompson and McCline are the most winnable fights. But far from walkovers.

McCline gets underrated though. He was a solid contender in the early 00s with wins over Briggs, Grant, Whittaker, Boswell, arguably beat Byrd. Even after some rough luck in 04-05 where he started to slow down a bit and settle into more of a journeyman role he was still very dangerous dropping Peter multiple times.. hell even a shot to pieces McCline at the end of his career gave Wilder victim Szpilka hell breaking his jaw and lasting the distance and of course he dropped an undefeated Mago. McCline was no bum. Hed easily be the best win on Wilders resume lmao.

Appreciate this one because I am surprised at how underrated McCline is, and you named the victories. He should have beaten Peter for the interim WBC championship.
