    So not really close...
I think the Castillo shout is the best so far, circling and potshotting from the outside.

wlad has fought many as fast as haye and many stronger and more powerful than haye but none with the mixture of both like haye..but having the power with the speedis usless if you cant land....give hayes power to to byrd, chambers, iggy or castillio and the result wud still be the same...

His fights against valuev and harrison were his experiments stylistically, look at the emphasis on head movement to avoid the jab.

He'll try fighting like byrd I imagine, trying to become a defensive counter puncher. No way will he try taking wlad out early, he isn't stupid enough to believe he can make a short nights work of a great champion.

I don't think he has a chance, wlad is like a perfect spammer on fight night, you might eventually work him out but the first time you face him you're getting your arse handed to you.

This version of wlad is ruling for another 5 years minimum.

Sultan, unforunately minus the big mouth.

Also Ring Magazine KO of Year winner and former top 10 contender, Derrick Jefferson..and replace "smaller" with same size.

Jefferson, at 6'6" and generally weighing 240 pounds, quickly rose to prominence by combining explosive power with furious combinations. He became a frequently featured fighter on [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HBO"]HBO[/ame] in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Jefferson began his career 22-0-1, highlighted by a TKO 2 over contender [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bert_Cooper"]Bert Cooper[/ame], an SD 12 victory over [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obed_Sullivan"]Obed Sullivan[/ame], and the brutal KO over Harris. This streak lined up a shot against the fading [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Izon"]David Izon[/ame], he broke down Jefferson and won via a TKO inside nine rounds. Jefferson was then blasted out inside of four rounds by rising star [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oleg_Maskaev"]Oleg Maskaev[/ame], morphing Jefferson's rising star status to a faded memory. One year later, Jefferson was granted a shot at WBO Heavyweight champ [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wladimir_Klitschko"]Wladimir Klitschko[/ame], who demolished Jefferson, knocking him down three times en route to a 2nd round TKO.

DeVarryl Williamson. He was 6'3" 214lb, 20-2-0 and 18 ko's when he fought Wladimir.
Willison had fast hands, big time ko power, no chin and was a big mouth **** talker before the fight but scared when he was looking Wladimir eye to eye...

Nothing like Haye! Haye is faster and is a counter puncher. Wlad has not fought any one like Haye! Haye has fought all his heavyweight fights in a different style! How can Wlad predare to fight 6 different guys? :huh Haye is alot better than Eddie Chamber i know he was the americans last hope but please dont compare him there in different leagues! This fight will end in a KO by Wlad or Haye! for me you have to questions Wlad's chin overs Haye's! Haye is more of a stamina problem than chin were Wlad is there other way round! First 8 round looks for Haye to KO Wlad after that you have to look at Wlad for the decision.

My Prediction: HAYE TO WIN BY KO IN ROUND 8

    Thanks!

Of course, it's also this defensive style that makes Wlad a bit boring to watch. then again, it's sort of like watching baseball vs (American) football: For the true fans, there's a cerebral beauty to Wlad's style. I'm not a huge Wlad fan, but I certainly appreciate the Wlad / Manny defense.

    - I just hope we see Wlad also explode a bit, as he did (in short spurts) against Brock & Mercer. I think he will have to against Haye, and early, to throw him off-balance.

Wlad vs Mercer, round 5, was a thing of beauty:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmzYzPVBoGw&feature=player_embedded#at=176

    - It shows what Wlad might have been, had Manny not turned him into a defensive robot. I think Wlad afterwards lost to Sanders not because of a sloppy style, but due to over confidence. His offense against Mercer was perfect, his chin was protected the entire fight. Maybe he & Manny have finally come to realize this, and will go after Haye the way we all hope they will: A smarter version of the 2002 Wlad.

    Fingers crossed ......

After watching the Brock fight I'm more confident than ever that Haye will beat the **** out of Wlad.

Not that it will be that surprising considering it's happened already 3 times by complete BUMS.

Anyway, what are the excuses when Wlad is crawling around like a homosexual?

Is Wlad going to be considered SHOT by his homoerotic nut huggers?

    Wlad is NOT SHOT.

This is the BEST VERSION OF WLAD EVER. Remember THAT.

    Bitches...

    Overhill,

thanks for that link to the Castillo fight. I never saw that one.

Castillo was no David Haye, but his style was indeed very similar. That fight shows that Wlad can easily adapt to a fighter who moves well. It also shows that even a post-Sanders Wlad can have an aggressive offense, when he so chooses.
