So I will get to the point. Is it better to do conditioning or boxing stuff first? Lately ive been doing my conditioning in the morning at like ten, then rest a little and then im supposed to do the boxing related conditioning(hitting bag non stop for a round, etc.) at like 1 or so. .I do this in my apartment builiding storage room. Im also going to travel like 32 miles to chicago on metra at like 3 and walk one mile to a boxing gym since it is summer and there are free programs. Before i was unattached. Does it matter which one you do first or no? I am 15 and have had one fight which i won rsc at 132. Well if you want to see my routine here it is. Cut back on all the extra workouts and get more rest. You're running six days a week, three of those days are sprint days. And then you box at night on each of those six days. I really don't think you're doing 30 rounds in your boxing workouts. If you are, it's WAY too much. What I'd do is throw a rest day into the middle of the week. So you get 3 days of work, a day off, then three more days of work, then a day off before you start it all over the next week. Also, all that extra conditioning every day is unnecessary, and you're feeling symptoms of overtraining. You can cut a lot of that conditioning out completely. The rest you can just throw in at the end of your boxing workouts. Also, do your boxing workouts later in the evening if at all possible. You seem to be a training addict, so remember to get your sleep. Once you cut out the conditioning workouts, you can sleep in and do your running at 10am or something instead of 5am. Sleep more and your body will thank you. And eat a lot. You want to do 3 workouts a day which suggests to me you're high energy (actually I saw your fight so I cheated) and probably have a fast metabolism. Feed the machine.
Yea, i do all of the rounds, mainly because i want to go to the olympics someday and be a really good pro boxer.(i guess i went from 157 to 130 because of the conditioning) I think that 3 days on thing is good. Also i see what you are saying about cutting the conditioning for later. Although, i cant move my boxing workout later in the day because i head for the station at 3 since it is an hour 30 ride plus 30 min walk. Yea i have only been getting like 5 or 6 hours of sleep since summer started, when i usually sleep for like 9 or 10. Haha yea i have to feed the machine.( sorry for slow reply, im on a mobile device)
It's cool dude. But all those rounds are actually going to decrease your chances of becoming very good. You might try taking a week or two and just doing 6-9 HARD rounds on the bags. Have a shadowboxing warmup for a few rounds and a jumprope cooldown for a few rounds. If you've ben doing all those rounds then your musclular endurance has to be more than adequate by now, and you should have a good areobic base. So now you give your body half the time to do work, and try to fit as much punching into it as possible. It's a lot more like an amateur fight. Your pace is going to be amazing. You could even do 3 days of short hard workouts (warmup, 6-9 rounds, 3-4 rounds conditioning, cooldown) and 3 days of longer workouts with more focus on technique than workrate.
Dude are you blood doping, or just regular doping? I'm dying to see a video of your 40 round workout. People on this forum know I'm not hater, but I just don't believe you.
i agree it seems a bit farfetched , but some people train with less intensity than others and rest longer also , although anyone doing this workout can surely not be putting full effort into every round
Not to sound mean or anything, but i just want to say i dont really care if anyone believes me, the fact is i do it, and i just wanted to know i i should do my boxing first or conditioning. I only do this stuff because of my ambitions.
Yeah I hear that, and I'm also not trying to be mean, there's just no way you do 18 rounds of shadow boxing if it's real shadow boxing...
