which one is better: Donaire-Mares or Donaire-Rigo?

why not? HBO themselves wanted mathebula as a replacement for mijares (HBO rejected but for me, it would be a better opponent than mathebula) and nishioka was the #1 ranked 122 fighter. in fact donaire became the 122 champion because of that fight.

 

Rigo will get KOed by the first power punch Donaire lands. He is the most overrated fighter on this forum recently. Mares-Donaire will be a great fight. Both fighters will adapt during the fight and the outcome will be unknown until the end.

 

Donaire and Mares are now the legit #1 and #2 fighters in the division. That's the fight to make and no other match is more appealing.

The overrated glass jawed cuban with the mediocre resume can wait

 

Rigo vs Donaire would be a nice Chess-match (not a fun watch though...at least for the casual fan). Mares gets destroyed by both.

Nonito has just beaten the best sbw out there and mares has just beaten the best be out there. Both are top 10 p4p and both are title holders

Rigos chin is suspect so I will say Donaire vs Mares.

 

Donaire-Mares would be the better fight and the winner would be the first guy not named Mayweather or Pacquiao in quite some time to seriously challenge for the top P4P spot. That'd be a huge win, either way.

 

yes but i doubt they would put the winner on top. nonito was already at #5 when he stopped the #7 p4p ranked montiel and some fights later, nonito is stuck at that range.

Not sure which one is "Better" but I do know which one can be made without much trouble.
Donaire Vs. Rigo needs to be settled first before all the dragging on of a possible Mares fight.
