Which one is more convincing, PAC-Mosley or FLOYD-Mosley?

They both fought a shot, past it fighter, who cares? Neither were ever going to lose to him. Floyd beat him with his defensive style and pickpocket counters. Manny beat him with aggressive offense. How can you say one is more convincing than the other? It comes down to your style preference. The only difference in those fights, really, is that Shane was scared of Pacquiao's power and not Floyd's.

The only thing you said that is correct

Really, do you believe the stuff you write? Have you become that bias?

    - Pac being pushed and falling down, then being ruled a KD, doesnt mean ****, and you know it
    - Mosley couldnt hit floyd, except for, you know, the couple times he had him wobbling and hurt.
    - Mosley landed more power punches on Floyd according to compubox then he did against Pac, and the difference in %? One. Nice
    - Pacman couldnt hit a 'shot' (and the one Mayweather faced wasnt right?) Mosley so much that his face was swelling in fight, he was knocked down in the second fight of his career, and he couldnt hit Mosley so much that he actually landed more power punches on Mosley then floyd did, AND landed at a higher connect %.

My ****! I am a fan of both but I can't believe how thick headed some people can be just to discredit Floyd. Floyd controlled the fight past the 2nd and throughout the fight he NEVER struggled with Mosley before and after he was hurt. THAT's a dominating performance. Pacquiao struggled to land solid combinations and showed inability to cut the ring off but no question he hurt Mosley more. We have to keep in mind that despite Mosley being inactive, he was WAY more confident in himself going into the Mayweather fight and on paper was coming into the ring after one of his best performances and quite possibly his last win. Mosley was coming off two crap performances going into the Pacquiao fight. Both Floyd and Pacquiao should be criticized for not fighting Shane the same year he beat Marg but Floyd beat a better Shane and easier. As far as Shane fighting different, Mayweather still knows how to CUT OFF A RING so he would never look as bad as Pacquiao did but on the otherhand he would nver hurt SHane as badly as Pacquiao did. I take a clinic over someone struggling to land&connect combinations anyday. C'mon, Floyd won much more effortlessly overall than Pacquiao no question. Floyd also did better with landing more than one shot at a time and never struggled with Shane's defense as with Floyd it was irrelevant.

This was pretty much how the fights went.

Pac also got a KD and wasn´t hurt anytime in the fight (Floyd wobbled in the 2nd round).

Floyd fought Shane a year before and Shane was coming off a big win against Margarito. When Pac fought Shane, he had lost to Floyd and has also had a disappointing fight with Bika.

Shane likes opponents who attack and keep coming at you - Pac is that kind of fighter. Floyd´s one of the best defensive boxers of all time. So you can´t compare the fights too simplistic.

Shane also fought these fights differently. From a spectators point of view Floyd fight was more entertaining - in the Pac fight all Shane basically did from the 3rd round was run and survive. Pac didn´t do anything spectacular in catching (cutting the ring etc) Shane.

If you compare these fights with Mosley in order to find out who would win the bout between Pac and Floyd, there´s not much to compare with. Shane fought differently and the type of the fight was different. Better comparison would be for example their fights against Marquez

Floyd couldnt land combinations either, whats your point? Shane was making Floyd miss a lot of his punches too, and he wasn't running like he was with Pacquiao.

Pacquiao outlanded Mayweather, had a better connect %, and he was hit less. As Floyd says "stats don't lie."

Stats are inaccurate as far as punches landed. Floyd had a much easier time connecting than Pacquiao did it's not even a debatable issue. He did it effortlessly but lets remember that both fought a Shot Shitty Shane.

As for the answer to this thread.... its splitting hairs. Both dominated Mosley impressively.

Both, however, did do it under different contexts.

Mosley was Floyds number 2 challenge (behind Pac), was thought of as many as the man in the division, and was considered a big threat, someone Floyd wouldnt fight, and was also coming off one of the best wins of his career.

Pac fought Mosley when Shane hadnt won a fight in two years, wasnt considered the man at any weight, and who the boxing world were actively wondering what he had left, and most thought shouldnt even be in a fight of this magnitude.

However, that being said, when judging the performences, if someone wanted to say they were too close to call, Id say fair enough. But to put Mayweathers performence as better?

    - Pac threw more
    - Pac landed more
    - Pac landed at a higher power punching %

    - Mosley threw more against Mayweather
    - Mosley landed more against Mayweather
    - His connect %, was THE SAME against both the 'defensive master' and the offensive Pac.

    - Mosley had Mayweather on ***** street, and hit him with big shots a couple times
    - With Pac, he didnt

    - Pac had Mosley doing dances, running for his life, face swelling in fight, and being the second person to ever put him down.

Like I said, its splitting hairs, but if you are going to split them, then thats how they split. After the first few rounds, Mayweather put on a very nice display against Mosley, and I liked the way he completely took control of the fight. But Mosley didnt just show up and say 'I think I will completely run away from Pac today', and start doing it.

No... Pac MADE Mosley run, he MADE Mosley shell up for dear life. So citing the way Mosley fought against Pac compared to how he fought against Mayweather is only showing, to me, how much Pac took Mosley out of it.

And after all this talk of just 'how much' Pac 'couldnt land' on Mosley, he landed more power punches on mosley then mayweather did (despite having a mosley in front of him that was completely intent on running) and also, what was the huge difference in the percentage of power punches landed? 1 %.

Both dominated Mosley. But how someone can say Mayweathers performence was that much more impressive.... not quite sure how one would arrive at that.

Both are very close, to me.Mayweather for context of the fight, and for the way he seemed to control the distance and pace. Pac for putting a beating on Mosley, making him run, not getting hurt, and knocking him down. If I had to choose Id lean slightly towards Pac.

    Just imo.

its pretty clear that MOsely was afraid of Pac after round 3. He was never afraid of Floyd at all. Performance wise, PBF was able to showcase his talent. Pac showed he had more power.

Floyd beating Mosley was more impressive, and I live Manny better. But to be fair, Mosley did not have a big loss before fighting Floyd. Floyd beat him easily. Pacman fought Mosley who lost to Floyd easily a year before, and then had a draw with a very ordinary fighter in Mora.

Floyd-Mosley: 2nd round almost put Jr into the canvas. Fact.

Mosley was shot even when Floyd fought him. So a fight with Shane should not be a weighing scale on whos performance is better.
