I know people are critical of Artur Beterbiev's reign at 175. So i am curious. Which one of Bob Foster's opponents that he beat at 175 would you favour to beat prime Oleksandyr Gvozdyk?

    Dick Tiger
    Frank De Paula
    Andy Kendall
    Roger Rouse
    Mark Tessman
    Hal Carroll
    Ray Anderson
    Tommy Hicks
    Brian Kelly
    Vincente Rondon
    Mike Quarry
    Chris Finnegan
    Pierre Fourie

I wouldn’t pick any of them to beat him, this is why I believe Foster is a lot more unknown h2h than most think, though I’d pick him against Saad, we can’t be so conclusive on whether he would since he didn’t even beat anyone on Saad’s level.

Come to think of it, i don't think i would favour any of RJJ's wins at 175 over Gvozdyk either except maybe Tarver.

I’d definitely favor Tarver. Harding and Griffin would be almost even money.

And probably none of RJJ's would either. I think there is a legit case for Beterbiev being top 10 all time at 175. I am not saying he is a 100% lock for it but he has a good case.

Virgil Hill, Montel Griffin, Antonio Tarver, Gvozdyk's isn't as good as you're making out he made 1 title defence and his claim to fame is beating a 41 year old Adonis Stevenson.

    Yep.
Tarver would be a clear cut favorite - and I belive Harding would have Gvozdyk's number as well. Hill I did not see as much of - but I think He'd probably have an edge also.

Harding gets forgotten, but he was good for a short period.

Hill lost wide to Dariusz right before fighting Jones and didn’t accomplish much after that beyond catching Tiozzo cold. I’d expect Gvozdyk to at least win by a couple of rounds against 98 Hill.

More past it than a 41 year old Adonis Stevenson ? Because that's Gvozdyk's claim to fame.

Yes. Stevenson started late and had big power.

Stevenson got a draw vs Badou Jack in his previous fight that some felt he was lucky to get Jack went on to lose his next 2 fights.

Stevenson had also been quite inactive fighting 1 fight a year for the past few years.

Please don’t try to slant facts with me. We both know that Jack went on to win a cruiserweight title and Pascal didn’t exactly beat him cleanly.

If I were a boxer who was offered a title shot for the same purse against 98 Hill or early forties Stevenson, I’d fight Hill in a heartbeat unless my fighting attributes resembled a 175 pound Carlos Baldomir.

There is no "slanting of facts" my guy you're saying Hill was past his best i'm saying Stevenson was 41 years old had not been that active in the past 3 years and was also "past his best"

    it's pretty simple really.
