Same here ,there's only Jersey that springs to mind .Godoy may give him a few hard round s ,being so awkward ,but then again Lenny might blast him out early with a crunching uppercut. Conn may out box him for a bit but Lewis gets him eventually.

Buddy was slighty taller, same reach, could punch, and did give Joe Louis some minor problems.

I like Lewis alot, but I could see alot of Joe's title defenses giving Lewis a very hard time.

I could see Max Schmeling, Buddy Baer, and Lou Nova all knocking Lewis out in the first fight, but Lewis adjusting and beating them in the rematch, since Schmeling and Nova both had great counter rights and Buddy Baer was easily twice the fighter that Vitali ever was and had excellent power.

Tony Galento, Abe Simon, Arturo Godoy, Bob Pastor, and Tommy Farr, and Abe Simon, and Billy Conn would all give Lewis a tough fight and Galento would most likely even knock Lewis down, but I see Lewis eventually winning.

It'd have to be Lewis on one of his crap days.

    None of them.

Certainly not freaking LOU NOVA or Buddy Baer or TONY GALENTO ... and some others mentioned above.

How many of Lennox Lewis' title defenses could've upset Joe?

Vitali Klitschko? Evander Holyfield? Mike Tyson? David Tua?

Can you really do that though?

Louis held the title for approximately twelve years.

If we pre date that from the time that Lewis retired, that takes us back to the Mike Weaver fight.

Obviously it you want to match the timelines from when Louis starts meeting the best guys in the division, then you have to go back to Lewis's pro debut.
