Idk about that, Lopez has had trouble against bigger 140 pounders before, Ryan looks to have the frame to do well at 147.

I'm not sure it's not like 147 is loaded anymore. Boots has promise but he's hardly proven at the top level.

Garcia, Haney, Teo and Shakur are all very young and can still fill out and get stronger and learn and get better

My early guess for short term success are Teofimo or Garcia. Teo can be inconsistent but he struggles with negative movers who are quick, does 147 have guys like that? Garcia has plenty of flaws which is a reason I have not been high on him so far but he does have intangibles and beating Haney earned my respect. I think of all the guys his frame right now is best suited for the division and with his promotional backing and fractured titles I would not be surprised if he had a 147 belt before 2025 is over

I like Shakur, he's local, he's an Olympian, he has been dominant until that last fight. His offensive performances were starting to improve, he went from snoozers to beating the crap out of Herring and Valdez to being incredibly cautious and then "retiring". I think he could fill out to 147 but that last fight put a bad taste in my mouth. Could he be another Devin Haney that fails the pressure test?

Devin Haney, again, another fighter I am a fan of despite not being a crowd favorite here. I think he has a lot of the tools to be successful though the loss hurts his standing. How does he rebound? Some will say he is smoke and mirrors due to being stopped and the Lomachenko decision but in all honesty he won at least 5 rounds vs Lomachenko and that's not an easy task, if he was a bum he would not have had that kind of success. Obviously he has the chinny label now after Linares and Garcia but Garcia brings speed that I don't see anyone else having at 140 or 147 outside maybe Ennis. I am not ready to rule Haney out until we see his rebound

Maybe, but the question is who would do better at 147, and imo Lopez doesn't have the frame to compete with guys like Boots or even Stan at 147. Garcia has the frame of a WW.

If you're good enough you're big enough. Lopez would exceed expectations against someone like Stanionis or Benn, Boots beats everyone

The thing is with Lopez is he had trouble with big JWW's. He's one of my favorite fighters, but he's too inconsistent for me to be confident he'd beat guys like Stan or Benn.

I'd give Teo the benefit of the doubt, Josh was like 165 in their fight and he still whooped his ass lol
