I think we would have to see another Vitali fight to be able to decide.

Is the style he used against Peter going to be the norm from now on - which was like watching a clunky version of Lennox Lewis, or will he be able to go back to the aggressive style that served him well before?

To be quite honest, it wouldn't matter how the current crop of heavies fight - because with the exception of his brother, none of them are good enough, let alone equipped stylewise, to do anything to him - unless his body fails him.

Speed can cause him a problem (see Chris Byrd) but he has a very good chin and plenty of power in each hand, not to mention an excellent jab and rangefinder.

In my opinion any of these types of styles are going to be very ineffective against him. I can't decide which one would work best. :huh

If he returns to the old aggressive style - fight like Lennox Lewis.

    But......

Who the **** out of this lot can do that?

If he sticks to this style, it may be someone like David Haye that could beat him. Trouble is - Vitali has an iron chin whilst Haye has a shaky one.

A fast opponent would probably be able to out box the lumbering giant. As long as he can keep it up and not get tied up, I could see someone with that style giving him a run.

To beat Vitali, you need either another giant man or an aggressive swarmer who is a relentless body puncher. Also need to rough him up on the inside and make it a dirty fight. Basically, you have to make an attempt to exploit the old man's fragile body. Hit him in the arms, shoulders, chest etc... Prime Holyfield vs Vitali of 03' would have been a great fight.

I don't think Vitali can be outboxed. He was beating Byrd 118-109 at the stoppage time, even though he was younger.

The thing is if he fights again, he's just gonna get better.
