No, beating the count isn't enough. You cannot be saved by the bell. If the fighter gets up but doesn't look like he's ready to continue, the ref should technically stop the fight. The point here is that because the ref delayed the count with the bullsh*t, "Get in that corner, get in that corner, get in that corner", he gave Bute more time to gather himself so when the 10 count approached.

Yes, he got up but i think you are focusing too much on this fact and ignoring the actions of the ref which were clearly questionable. At worst, it's borders on sheer criminal act based on how a ref should react in that situation. As long as the standing fighter is close to the neutral corner, a ref at that crucial point in time should not be obssessed with where the standing man is located. He should be worried about getting the count.

And i actually think that if the ref had let Andrade break up some of the 1,000 or so clinches Bute initiated in this fight, he would've KOed Bute earlier. He gave Andrade ZERO chance to get going on the inside because as soon as Bute clinched, he came in to break it up. That went completely against Andrade's favor. You could tell Andrade was frustrated. At one point, Bute grabbed his legs and Andrade threw a punch. He threw Bute to the corner in another clinch. Many times he tried to get loose so he could simply get going on the inside. But the ref didn't allow the fighters to break up any clinches.
