He beat Adamu two weeks after Adamu was beaten up by Tsypko. He beat Henry Porras three weeks after Porras fought Ortiz...and it was a hard fight for Froch. But he stopped him in 8. He stopped Tatevosyan early with the help of the ref less than 2 months after Bute beat him up. He made a shot Reid quit after 5 rounds... That's it. This is Froch's resume. Have I missed anyone? So...which one is his best win? Which one was his best performance?
do you think the Tatevosyan stoppage was premature? i haven't watched it since, but it looked ok to me at the time.
I think he'd have stopped him soon afterwards anyway...but it was a fairly premature stoppage, I thought. Tatevosyan smiled and had the "WTF?" look on his face after he was stopped... Tatevosyan had enough to test Froch a bit more, I thought...but he wasn't fresh enough for Froch, 2 months after Bute...
so basically you are wondering which of froch's performance convinced joe he should duck him, and had inkin feigning injury on two occasions :think
Ried and Tatesovyan are prob the best, both were shopworn and reasy to be taken...much like Rubin Williams.
And yet, when you watch the Reid performance, Reid looked better than Froch, even though he has less than half a dozen rounds in him! At least Froch looked better against Tatevosyan. I am picking his performance against Tatevosyan as his best.
Reid. Tate was underprepared and probably wasn't recovered from fighting Bute. Lol, the Froch huggers on boxrec made out he didn't have a mark on him from Bute.
Fine...let's say Dodson...but Dodson gave Froch quite a few problems - he was beating him to the punch quite a bit on the inside and his left hook was giving Froch a lot to think about...and this is Dodson we're talking about!
If the fight had been a 4 rounder, Reid would not have lost that fight! He was landing that loopy right at will!
Yeah...they were the only ones who had a chance to put up a fight, really...which tells you exactly what Froch's comp level has been so far - domestic. British SMW Champ is about right. But saying he's the best SMW in the world, that's he'd KO Berrio and Bute quick, that he'd do a number on Kessler and beat Calzaghe...well...just because you beat Dodson and Magee?:huh
I thought Reid was the better fighter on the night and exposed some serious flaws, just a shame he has no punch resistance anymore.
Yeah...it's on the basis of this fight that Calzaghe said Froch's defence was very open and that every top SMW would have a field day against him.
