Between his victories over Trinidad and Pavlik. http://youtu.be/0M2rhXHB1Ws http://youtu.be/LXoO652qH5w Btw, I could not believe that Trinidad could get up after taking that big shot in round 12 (at 1.47).:good That Hopkins' right hook could kill a horse.
Damn! That's a close call. When he faced Trinidad, the whole atmosphere in NYC post-911 made that fight extremely memorable for me personally. So it is kind of difficult to ever imagine a situation that tops that. But the Pavlik fight, at his age? I think that takes it. It was a flawless performance. Pavlik was considered the goods by many, and Hopkins had extreme difficulty with Calzaghe down the stretch. So personal feelings aside, I would have to say the Pavlik performance was superior. :smoke
Pavlik fight. "Tito" was blown up as a MW, But not as bad as Oscar was. (Holy ****, De La Hoya was **** as a MW) But still the Pav fight for me.
Well! Hopkins had the best performance in both fights IMO. Let me ask you a question, if Hopkins didn't push Trinidad at his chest after he hit him with that big shot in round 12, would you think that Trinidad was going to sit on the floor? I just would like to know what people think about this.
Tough choice. Personally I'd go for the Pavlik fight, both were masterful performances but come on... Hops was old as when he took Pavlik apart and gave him that career altering beating, many thought it was the executioners time to finally be executed himself.
Trinidad for being the better opponent, but Hopkins was older and did face a more filled out Pavlik...I think Tito gives the edge but I'm undecided.
You think a MW Trinidad was a better opponent than a Prime Kelly Pavlik?? (hmmmm... I respect you alot bro, But I'm gonna have to disagree) PLS... Fill me in.
Tough one but I give a slight edge to the Trinidad fight. What a great night in AC when he fought Pavlik :rasta
