Yeah same here. had American Son ordered into the Library for the day it came out. very good read. Not read the other one mind.
Maybe. He probably then looks at his bank account and wife & thinks "Hmmm, could have been worse I guess" before putting on his stockings and going to work. Interesting career really, a fair amount of the good and bad things people associate with boxing these days have generally happened during Oscar's career
Ya your right some things in his career went unfuliflled but still had a great career and is a great fighter. Had many good wins and i think hed be competitive against almost any welterweight in history
I think he will, definitely. Obviously I can't speak for him (or anyone else) but I wouldn't want to have to explain to myself why I bombed the biggest fight of my career...... You can take losing to Hopkins, and Mayweather too..... but Trinidad and Mosley x2 - all fights that he let slip away when he was in control.... does open his 147+ career up a fair bit.
I like the American Son bit purely for the poofy as **** statement, randomly inserted into the book. 'Omigosh!' I kid you not that is written in the book, Oscar definitely has a feminine side.
He let Mayweather slip away too (though at the time I scored it for Oscar). He was controling the fight with his jab just fine in the first half.
