I would give Walcott and Liston the best chances. Liston could very well out jab Vitali and that would set him up nicely. He could stop him on cuts, but I don't know if his stamina would be enough to win on points.

Walcott was still fit and very crafty at that age. I don't think he could of taken too many of Vitaly's rights though, so he would have to be very careful. A points victory for Walcott is not impossible IMO.

But I do think that Lewis was better at 37 than probably any other HW.

Since When was Walcott not durable? he faced a slew of punchers during his career more than any other champion except lennox, and only louis and marciano were able to knockout a near prime walcott. Walcott was plenty durable.

Toney was well past it after his achiles injury. The Peter fight was a shot Toney, Toney was way past agans tRuiz but pulled it off. Vitali hasnt fought a fighter with Toneys skill set, Lewis/Byrd included. I didnt see Toney-Jirov as that hard a fight. Past his prime Jirov? HE was prime

Toney was 38 and was done by the time he faced Rahman.

Your underestimating the improtance of defense and crisp counters. Jirov and Holy brought plenty of pressure and got countered silly. I think at 37 Toney was too far past prime to beat Vitali, the 34yo Toney is a solid possibility though

There's a lot of cherrypicking going on here. First of all, Foreman was closer to 47 when the championship was taken from him. He was so horribly past it no reasonable comparison can be made with the Foreman of 5 years earlier. The fight with Savarese was an example of a poor exercise in scoring, but, once again, this was a 47 year old, geriatric slowcoach, and proving himself against an undefeated contender is certainly a feat worthy of praise by itself. He defeated Briggs in his next match, ran afoul of the decision and retired permanently at the age of 48.

For what it's worth, I do think Vitali should be installed as a clear favorite to win against the comebacking Foreman. However, I draw my assumptions based more on styles.

To address the point of this thread briefly, I do give much credit to Lewis for stopping Klitschko when he fought him. He is perhaps the most well-preserved of the heavyweight champions. He deserves extra credit for the level of longevity he established especially given his long and storied career facing power punchers of all sizes.

Testing clean is easy? If this was the case, no one gets caught. Please explain. Some stuff can stay in your system for months.

Then how do you prove he was using? Is there video, pictures, or maybe even an admission?

Yeah well, Vitali is no Jirov and no washed up Holyfield either. They're completely different fighters, both in size as in class.

Simple, see the below table and choose the fastest clearing steroid nearer the testing date and a longer clearing 1 when your a long way from fighting. You have to be pretty ignorant to get caught if you know your test date, which all boxers know
