The punch is shown in the between round replay a few seconds later

How many HWs in history could have taken that smash he ducked into without seeing it at the end of the 6th round of the rematch? That was a well timed fully loaded up "smash" with maximum possible leverage by a much bigger man with explosive power that tyson ducked into without seeing it, it hit him right on the button and knocked his mouthpiece out.

If he had anything less than a cast iron chin and Had gone to sleep or even just got knocked down from that same shot then people here would be calling it one of the hardest punches ever thrown and it would be compared to the right hand shavers put down holmes with or the marciano walcott KO.

Both Marciano and Frazier have been knocked down by much lesser punches.

Out of all the shorter uppercut-susceptible HWs Tua is the only other guy i think could take that shot.He had a good chin and he rarely ducked/crouched in that quick , leaned that far forward like that and would have seen it coming, which would have made it easier to absorb.

Holyfield could take it standing up too but he would probably get badly wobbled and then come back with a fury 30 seconds later

I think plenty would have soaked it up. Greg Page took similar from him. If you went right thru Razor's catalogue i am sure you would find plenty of occasions where he lands with full force and there is no kd.

Don't get me wrong, it is a huge punch and Tyson ships it very well.

I can't see the video because of Canadian copyright, but I know Ruddock had tremendous power in his "Smash" (see Dokes fight). Wlad or Lennox Lewis would have been down for the count or in no condition to continue for a TKO.

He would not have landed it on those guys. His defense would have seen him getting hit clean first.

And Razor hardly cleaned out the division or left a scrapheap of opponents anyway. On the contrary--when he stepped up, he lost. Because his one dimension and paltry punch output just aren't good enough.

It looks a mighty shot but you can't tell if it lands flush from that angle, Tyson seldom got hit properly on the chin as his neck was so squat and thick. Once tucked in it was almost impregnable IMO.

Mercer took a lot of great hooks off Morrison he was dropped by Holy because he was tired, I feel Mercer could have taken this shot and could have beaten both these guys on that specific night because they were dreadful! The old Mike`s head movement pre punch would have helped evade and counter this shot he looked sleepy and said in an interview years later he didn`t bother training that much because he was bored with boxing by this stage.

Lewis and Wlad were much better than the one dimensional Ruddock though, so all this is slightly pointless.

Back in reality though it was Ruddock who was out for the count when he met Lewis.......

Yeah, I know but did Lennox ever get hit with Ruddocks "smash" punch?

It's didn't look to me like Ruddock landed anything substantial on Lennox.

Lewis took big shots off Holyfield that left Tyson reeling around the ring like an old drunk, it ain't so black and white.
