Which other heavyweights in history could have taken the shots Ali took in the Shavers fight?

all but Cobb. It is simply amazing how many guys Shavers had "that close" to beating. Holmes, Lyle, Mercado, and Tillis all looked gone when Shavers knocked them down. I wonder how many guys have fought Shavers and haven't gone down. Not too many I imagine.

The amount of bias on this forum can be quite shocking.

 

About 3 yrs back we had 2 or 3 new members who started up to 15 thread a day and all heavyweight related.
I haven't bothered changing it back since then.

Actually, I LOVE heavies, but they do get overrated a bit.

Some people have said I was just an attention seeker, but I just like to ask the questions that other people don't seem to have asked (unless I have my own twist on a thread). I like to find out what everybody else thinks about certain topics.

 

90s Foreman, Prime Holmes, Cobb, Chuvalo, possibly prime Bowe...if it was just one flush shot I think Frazier of the FOTC would have been 50-50 on getting floored, but certainly could have come back from it. Same with Holyfield, though it's much more likely he'd have gone down, I think he would have charged back to stop Earnie.

Oliver McCall might have lasted out the fight.
