JMM is clearly ahead of his brother, but not by as much as you might think. Rafael is one of the fiercest head-to-head bantamweights of all time, and if he beats Lopez next month he'll have to be considered hot on Dinamita's heels.

While it is not my opinion that Wladimir Klitschko is even close to as great as Juan Manuel Marquez, it is my opinion that he's further ahead of his own brother than the elder Marquez is ahead of Rafa.

Vitali's comeback is a bit overrated, and in both a h2h sense and in terms of establishing a legacy built on consistency and longevity, he is absolutely spanked by his little brother (with or without the blemish of unflattering knockout losses).

There are going to be three basic types who disagree with me here.

    1) Haters of all things Klitschko who will refuse to click on any poll option that begins with a Klitschko on general principle.

    2) Vitali fans who overrate his comeback.

    3) Mexicans, who in their hyper-loyalty to make sure that they select a poll option that begins with a Marquez, will be neglecting to realize that they are actually underrating the other brother (probably Rafael).

JMM and Rafael fight close to the same style with Rafa being more of a puncher and more aggresive but JMM being more precise, a better counter puncher though both have great timing and placement with there punches, JMM's able to adapt better during fights and is just overall better. With the Klits they fight completely different from a technical standpoint/textbook Wlad's way better but Vitali's hands down, wear and stop almost all his opponets with arm punches from a variety of different angle as well as him relying on his great chin has been equally effective dont forget he's been fighting as a pro 14 years other than the torn rotator cuff stoppage only lost due to cuts against lewis and that's not counting his kickboxing career before it I say the Klit bros are more close to equally effective.

You weren't big on the analogy sections of standardized tests, were you?

It's really simple. Split each pair of brothers. Then decide which superior brother holds the greater margin of superiority over his own brother. One of the eight poll options will apply.

Vitali is better than Vlad. Vitali does not look as good in the ring as Vlad, but his style is much more confusing. I remember when Tubbs used to help them out as advise and some sparring. He was extremely impressed with Vitali's right hand.

Couldn't agree more. You can make a case that because of age Wlad might be better now, but Wlad doesn't hold a candle to a vintage version of his older brother, and I don't respect the opinion of anyone who thinks any differently. Little bro Wladdy never had the defense, fearlessness, counterpunching ability, nor the chin that Vitali possessed. Unfortunately, fans often confuse looking ugly for being unskilled which is clearly not the case with Vitali. He might be akward as hell, but damned if he's not skilled.

I don´t rate Rafa that high. Neither do I Vitali. However, I rate Vitali´s comeback pretty high which makes Wlad-Vit closer than it should be. Thus I pick JMM beeing farer ahead of his brother. Greatness-wise I think it´s JMM-Wlad-Rafa-Vitali though.

Voted accidentally 'Rafael ahead of Juan Manuel by a wider margin than Wladimir ahead of Vitali'.

JM ahead of Rafael more than Wlad ahead of Vitali.

.. in prime or current Vitali?

If you put the Marquez brothers in the same weight division, I can't see Rafa winning more than two or three out of ten. With the Klits it's more of an even proposition. Their styles against other opponents might be more easily differentiable, but against each other ... I don't know ... but I'd probably favour Vitali to win at least five of ten fights. He's got a much better chin than Wlad and is the same size (bigger, actually), so he wouldn't be overly deterred by That Jab.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree; the gaps aren't all that different, but the gap is bigger with the Marquez brothers, IMO.
