Which pair of brothers (Klitschko or Marquez) has more space between them?

I also agree with Farmy, but I feel enormous guilt over A. Agreeing with Farmy and B. Agreeing with Farmy about something Klitschko related, no less. I hope this is just a fluke. (No offense, Farmy)

are we talking skill? resume? or a combination?

In either case, I think the gap between JMM and RM is bigger in both skill and resume while resume-wise I'd go with Wlad but skill wise I'm more of a fan of Vitali. Overall I think it's pretty close between the Ukranians.

 even a broken clock is right twice a day (unless it's on military time, or a digital clock that doesn't display anything anymore... in which case the analogy fails.... or does it?)

besides, if anything I would trust Farmy when it comes to comparing the 2 Klitschko's with each other.

**** voted for the wrong one. Picked last option but meant the first.

But Marquez bros are better overall.

I don't agree with you. They both faced weak competition but Vitali was never behind in a fight and had this great war with Lewis. Wlad was KOed a couple of times.

Since hooking up with Steward, when has Wladimir lost more than two rounds (let alone been behind)?

Wladimir pre-Steward and Vitali pre-layoff are pretty much a wash (each had two stoppage losses and some ho-hum wins - yes, one of Vitali's losses was a close fight with the great Lennox Lewis but it was a past-prime and semi-retired Lennox Lewis).

So in order to really split them you have to compare post-Steward Wladimir (13-1 with ten knockouts, 12 of those 14 matches being world title fights) with comeback Vitali (so far 5-0 with 4 knockouts, all world title fights but almost all lesser opposition than even Wladimir's weakest title challengers).

The moral of the story in this thread and poll is twofold:

Vitali Klitschko is overrated on ESB.

Rafael Marquez is underrated on ESB.

I really hope people are comprehending things well enough to make informed votes here.

It is entirely possible to rate both Marquez brothers (or just Juan) well ahead of both Klitschko brothers, but still vote for there being a higher gap between the latter.

For instance, if you see it as being like so:

    JMM >> RM >> WK >>>>> VK

or, like so (as I do):

    JMM >> WK > RM >>>>> VK

then poll option #1 would be the appropriate choice.

I am about as big a Juan Manuel Marquez fan as you will find on this board. I like him a lot more than his brother, and certainly way more than either Klitschko - HOWEVER - it is clear to me (as someone who followed the bantamweight division pretty closely in recent years and considers it somewhat of a personal area of "specialty") that Rafael is closer to his brother than Vitali is to his. It really would take a massive Wlad hater to arrive at any different conclusion after reviewing their four careers objectively.
