Which performance impressed you more? Hopkins/Pavlik or Pacman/DLH?

I say Hopkins' performance was better because there were less X factors going into this fight. Everyone already knew Pavlik was somewhat limited. But everyone also knew that he was a prime, young, hungry, and very dangerous fighter. The question wasn't whether Hopkins can win, (although i know some fans did pick him), but rather if Pavlik would KO him or not. It's just Hopkins' incredible ring skills made it a mismatch.

The Pacman/DLH had a lot more variables. There was DLH moving down to WW for the first time in 7 years and how that might affect him. Turns out it did affect him. Who expected him to weigh 147 come fight night and weigh less than Pacman? That was a complete shocker. Also, Pacman weighed only 3-4 lbs more on fight night against DLH from his previous two fights when he was at 145. So he was the same guy. I just think he fought a shot DLH. I think the DLH that fought PBF would've KOed Pacman because he was 164 on fight night.

    Thoughts?

    Pacquiao over De La Hoya..:!:
I expected Bernard to dominate Pavlik. (NO surprise)

What makes Hopkins' domination impressive is his age, that is more prominent in my mind that anything else.

But Pacquiao showed immense skill - he was being slick when pinned against the ropes. He was bobbing and weaving.

Pacquiao impressed me more, just because his performance sticks out more.
