Canelo made more of a fight of it. but you also have to acknowledge that Haye was the much smaller man in his fight, whereas Canelo was the bigger guy in his.

Haye spend part of the fight on his knees and didn't do ****.
Canelo was at least upright the entire fight and trying.

Minus all he **** talk from Haye, if we're to look at just what went on in the ring, I'd say Canelo and Haye perfomed equally shitty.

Both of them could barely even touch their opponent with a jab. Pathetic performances all around, but that's what happens when you are up against ridiculously skilled boxers.

Haye was worse. The difference though, Haye had a size and weight disadvantage, whereas Canelo was favoured in those departments. Imagine what a beast Haye was, if he was as big as Klitschko. And now imagine what Canelo would be, if he was about Floyds size and weight.

One guy was fighting a dude 15lbs lighter then him whos not a power puncher, the other one a guy significantly heavier, taller, and who can render a full grown man unconscious if he hits you flush.

Silly to really compare the two performances, imo. Of course they will differ and it would appear Canelo 'performed better'.

    haye.

david talked as if he was going to do something and he didnt even try. he had the skillset to have made the fight interesting whereas canelo did not have the skills but still tried his hardest to win. that is a big difference as one had a chance and one did not.

and then there was "the toe."

canelo and his camp will not use the weight as an excuse.

a better comparason would be haye/wlad and clottey/paq

haye used his toe as an excuse while clottey used diarhhea.

Definitely Haye. He was prime, experienced, and facing a much smaller gulf in class.

haye couldve rendered wlad, with his suspect chin, unconscious if he hit him flush.

Haye vs Wlad by far and away, this isn't even close. At least Alvarez tried and kept throwing whenever he had a chance to land.

I agree. The important thing you said was that Canelo and his camp didn't make any excuses. They didn't use the weight issue as an excuse. We as fans have the ability to point out what happened, but it's important to note that Canelo was very classy throughout all of TMT's BS and he should be commended for what he put up with to make the fight for the fans.

Haye, on the other hand, was a comedian with the Toe. That I think is the primary reason why he can't get a rematch with either Klitschko. To even compare Canelo's perforamnce to Haye's vs Wlad is absurd.

Canelo clearly has the skills to beat Floyd. He's young and is only going to get better and Floyd is breaking down and getting older. You are in denial about that, and you're in denial about that because you want to do anything you can so that Floyd doesn't have to fight Canelo at the normal weight because you know he is a great threat to Floyd's "0".

People might say "well it's only 2 lbs". But if 2 lbs weren't that big of a deal, then why did Floyd need the catchweight to begin with? Why did he negotiate from 147 up until Canelo agreed to a catchweight? If 2 lbs were not such a big deal, then why even have a catchweight?
