Both Tank and Loma made a huge statement last night. Whose performance were you more impressed with: Tank stopping an unbeaten Barrios or Loma making much easier work on Nakatani?

Lomachenko dominated Nakatani from the opening bell.

Tank was getting schooled before Barrios fell apart.

    Loma vs Nakatani.
Why? Wear and tear, injuries in history, looked not enough powerful for 135 lbs division and Nakatani had gave damn serious problems for Lopez. Doesn't makes sense cards or fans opinions.

I actually had placed small real bet on Nakatani to win just cos he was huge underdog.
Like, what if Loma will be not in best shape, will have bad night and so on.

With the caveat that both were impressive and both should be proud of their win...Loma.

Tank only fought Barrios because of all the credible opponents in a weight division he ate himself into, Barrios was the most beatable (doesn't prevent his opponents from cutting off the ring that well, tends to retreat when pressured by power punchers). None of that changes the fact that Barrios is a legit top 10 super-lightweight, albeit on the lower end of that spectrum, but there were several rounds in which he was struggling and in fact, looked too small for the weight. Ultimately, his power came through in a big way, showing that no matter the size of his opponent all the way up to super-lightweight (and Barrios is a big, durable super-lightweight), there is never a second he is not in the fight.

Lomachenko was hearing all sorts of things; how he made excuses, how it was his own fault he fought with a bum shoulder and why didn't it magically hurt him in the back half of the fight when he actually threw punches. How he should go back down to super-featherweight at least, how Nakatani was so much bigger and longer than him, with underappreciated skills and power, often pointed at as the only fighter to have success against Teofimo Lopez when even Loma could barely get going, and that this could very well be the end of Lomachenko. The end result? Loma destroyed him. There was not a single second of that fight where he was in danger, not in control, or Nakatani came even close to winning.

After last night, (reasonable) Tank critics said, "Impressive, but what could he do against -X-?", whereas (again, reasonable) Loma critics said...nothing at all.

I was more impressed with Martinez' KO of Cordova, a guy who knew him well through sparring. Yes, I know he was a 25-1 underdog, Codova wasn't a dog in that fight.

Loma beat what was known to be a very tough fight for pretty much anyone in the division and totally dismantled him in one sided fashion. Tank struggled badly against someone who was proven not to be on his level (watch Barrios vs Akhmedov if you want to see Mario's ceiling), Tank didn't impress me that much, he looked very beatable and doesn't seem to be a smart fighter at all.

Davis is in his athletic prime. Loma is 33, coming off a loss & surgery. He doesn't rehydrate to the levels Davis does either. He's a SFW. Whereas Davis was hydrating to 147lbs even when he was fighting the likes of Gamboa. Secondly, Davis looks flat footed & had poor output, whereas watching a healthy Loma is a thing of beauty. Nakatani didn't win a single round. Barrios won quite a few.. id also say Nakatani has proven he is a decent & dangerous fighter pushing Lopez & destroying Verdejo.. who is one of those fighters that had all the tools but just couldn't put it together. POS human being though. I suspect one of them is jacked up to the gills also… I'll let you decide which… so in light of all that I'd say Loma by a fkin mile .. Nakatani will have a decent shot at most LWs not named Loma or Lopez, I can't say that about barrios at 140. Taylor, Ramirez & Prograis would have ruined him.

Loma. Davis wasn't more impressive, he's just the guy you expect less of.

Lomas was more impressive because of the dominating fashion.

Tanks victory is not that far off in the impressive spectrum as it was his 1st fight at that weight.
& he carried his power up to stop a Naturally bigger & undefeated fighter.

Loma easily, but Davis's power carried well into 140 and he stopped an undefeated naturally MUCH larger guy so that was decently impressive

    Loma. why ?

    Coming from a lose
coming from a surgery on his shoulder
Nakatani is very tough and big( bigger than Barrios)
Loma win every single round with dominance
Lomas not a puncher but still damaged Nakatani much more than tank
Nakatani never been KOed before altough he fought Lopez and give him a lot of problems.

Davis I think impressed me more even though Loma had his best fight in a while.,, mainly because I believe that Barrios was a much better opponent than the gutsy but crude Nakatani. Of course I never thought Tank was worth all the hype so he had no where to go with me but up.

Nakatani is crude? Himself and Barrios are stylistically very similar but I'd argue Nakatani is even more dangerous seeing as his volume is much greater than Barrios'. Both guys mostly have a solid one two and not much else offensively, both lack defence although Barrios has significantly better footwork.

Is this even a question? Barrios was a cherrypick who needed a gift from the judges to get past a seven fight novice, Nakatani is a freaking giant who is as tough as nails and gave a top 10 P4P guy living hell.

Twink was getting schooled until his power bailed him out and Twink weighs at least a whole weight class more than Loma and has a 2'' longer reach than him, Loma was giving way 5.5'' in reach to Nakatani whereas Twink was giving away 3.5'' inches to Barrios.

Twink's a genuine talent but one of them is daring to be great and fighting the best and routinely facing opponents who are way bigger, longer, heavier and more powerful than him, the other has been on the Broner smoke and mirrors tour cherrypicking paper champions and belts who he hits harder than.

And Loma was coming off shoulder surgery
