Which popular fighters have let their fans down the most?

Canelo is the obvious choice but his hard core fans still slurp up whatever ejaculate he puts out so I guess that may not even count.

 

Except Floyd loves to boast about the fact that he walks around at fighting weight. And the fact that he was officially 150 pounds 30 days out from the fight.

 

I don't think khan or Bruno let their fans down through swerving a challenge or giving up on one, they just got found out in the ring. I don't hold that against them, they're brave guys, just not blessed with the strongest chins.

Even though it's my own fault and I know AB has never been someone to look up to. I just always related with him coming from nothing. Him not knowing how to act outside the ring is a true sign that he made it out of a situation that had a lack of education and with odds stacked against him. I always thought I'd probably act just as dumb if I had made millions so young. With that being said, I wanted to see him grow and start developing into someone who appreciates the situation he's in but while also respecting himself because of all the hard work he's put in over the years. But it just never happened. When he said 'I come from nothing. FROM NOTHING. I'm talking water and corn flakes.' That quite literally brought a tear to my eye because it's the exact same childhood I had. I felt that. Everytime he fought, He was my 'peoples champion' (I don't mean that in a racial way, I mean that everytime he fought it felt like he fought for the people that come from nothing)

I have believed in him his entire career and have always supported him (and bet a lot of money everytime he fights). But the saddest part of it all, is that I thought him coming from nothing, would give him an edge in the ring. I thought it would bring out the dog in him to dig deep and give his entire life 12 rounds at a time. But all of a sudden after the Maidana fight, he just stopped fighting. He stopped throwing punches and just wanted to get in and get out. His last fight against Vargas, after the 11th round, I had AB up by 1 round and I knew the judges would as aswell. I said to myself JUST FIGHT THE 12TH ROUND LIKE YOU NEED A KO AND YOU WIN. I thought he was going to dig deep and pull it off. But, true to form.. he didn't throw much and coasted through the round, which costed him the fight. Judges gave the 12th to Vargas and the fight was a draw. Then he was off shopping and posting on social media the next day like he won the fight.

Things like that I'll never forget.

I think I will always support Broner. But he's definitely let me down time and time again.

For me it's Kelly Pavlik as far as an non active fighter. Active? CaneLo, because he should have known better than to consume tainted meat... PERIOD

 

Yes you’re absolutely right and I’ve said this to many a Canelo fan,no shame in losing to Floyd but it was the manner of the defeat that showed Canelo has always been made out to be something he’s not,Maidana for example did far more against Floyd.
The lastest Psy Op about Canelo is that he’s a KO fighter which has it happens coincided with him bulking up like that would ever give him more KOs anyway.
I get annoyed when they talk of fighting GGG three to four times a year as well.

 

Canelo tried to outbox Floyd, and you just can't do that. Maidana roughed Floyd up, but head to head Canelo would whoop Maidana, so these are examples of How certain styles makes fights.

 

That’s why I was so confident of telling folk that he’ll always let you down in the Garcia fight and lo and behold he did his usual thing.

Who came up with that plan for Canelo? It was very frustrating watching that fight rooting for Canelo, it was time to low blow, foul and rough Floyd up but Canelo didn't even try that.

 

He definitely wouldn't have beaten GGG, but IMO he could have, on his best night, run him close and made him work his ass off harder than anyone in the division (including Canelo & Jacobs).
