Which popular fighters have let their fans down the most?

He couldn’t KO a glassed chinned Jacobs or a former welterweight midget in Canelo even though many claim he has koed heavyweights in sparring.

 

Not only is he a reprobate as a human being, Wilder is a fraud as a boxer who is cheating fans by padding his record against carefully selected opponents - and yes, I include Old Man Ortiz in that - to create the impression he's some fearsome KO artist who can actually take a punch at the world class level.

He's not, and he can't. I can't wait until he's knocked out cold.

 

He's there now, which is absolutely disgraceful.

 

Yes that’s really disgusting,no doubt boxing is a blood sport but I’d be amazed if any anyone watching,let alone those fighting would want to see anyone die.
Wilders is like a child and says things for attention,he’d be mortified if he killed someone for real,his comments about race are equally as stupid.

 

Expectation:
I only fight for legacy
My dream is to unify all belts
I only want to fight the best
I will fight anyone from 154-168
I will give big drama show

Reality:
Fights only for money
Took step aside money multiple times
Avoided fighting for BJS WBO title
Did not want to take the 168 challenge against Ward
Fought Martirosyan instead of Derevyanchenko and will likely have to be stripped or vacate one of his titles
Was supposed to KO Canelo in 2 rounds but was reduced to a jabber
Only has two good names on his resume, both fights were razor thin, no KOs.

Very disappointing to be a GGG fan with all broken promises.

 

Canelo disappointed his fans by receiving gift decisions and diva treatment.

 

As a Canelo fan the only two things that have disappointed me are:
1) the way he fought vs Floyd, now way he was going to win by trying to outbox him.
2) Getting caught with Clen. Whether it was through tainted meat or something more nefarious it's a low point in his career.

You can't blame him for the way someone scores his fights and as far as the "DIVA" crap, it goes with the territory
once you reach his status, Leonard, DLH, Floyd, Cotto, etc all did it. Even GGG is starting to do it but can't get away with cause he's not on that level yet.

Now as a GGG fan, he has also done some hypocritical things(Isal included some on his last post) that are disappointing but all minor BS that can be forgiven.

Still a fan of both though.

 

He lived off his dad's name; period.

More or less than others wasn't my intent. Just stating he let his fans down and how- Had he not been named Chavez, he wouldn't have headlined a card ever, let alone a fan base left wondering what happened.

 

A lot of HW's... David Price, Audley Harrison, and especially Robert Helenius spring to mind.

Chavez Jr. for sure.

I also appreciate GGG. I don't like how he has a way of not taking on the best as often as he could but Over all he's an exciting fighter to watch.

His fans who disrespect GGG's foes, and how they act like he can walk on water makes it difficult not to argue against them regarding GGG.

Without the GGGoons GGG would get as much criticism as Mikey Garcia who imo also says he wants this and that but doesn't back up his mouth.

Wilder is the worst, but I have to mention SOB Ward! SOB can box, but when he feels threatened he cheats. He somehow owns the referee, boxing commission, judges and breaks all the rules, yes, headbutting, elbows, holding, wrestling, low blows, not just a few either, just take a look at his cheating.................I hate to keep mentioning it, but this overt cheating is a disgrace, and they call him the greatest P4P?! Are you kidding? If SOB can cheat, then why not all boxers......................why can't fighters land low blows on SOB? Tony Weeks saw the low blows, did nothing about it...................either he was paid to do so or he was just plain biased, but I suspect others were in on it as well. Why did Bob Bennett refuse to even review the low blows? Everyone has seen them, they are all over the net and have been for a long time......................

We also must not forget El Pollo, he had Oscar's judges, referee, boxing commission, got caught with PEDS, yet the WBC is praising him for cheating! Did you read the WBC kiss arse letter?! This proves the WBC is on El Pollo's side, 6 month suspension is something El Pollo wanted anyway. If they have a rematch, El Pollo will fight in Vegas only, yes, where he will own the judges, referee, boxing commission, etc., notice the Lomachenko/Linares fight? Oscar's judges had Linares ahead on points at the time of the stoppage! No way was Linares winning........................damn, boxing is just getting too corrupt to last, fans are catching on, the house fighter will always win, this is becoming WWE......................now Horn claims they have given inferior gym, everyone knows I had Pac easily beating Horn, but now Horn is being set up, although I did not give Horn any chance to win the fight anyway, this does sound suspicious, looks as if Uncle Bob is not going to protect Horn this time around, he is just there to lose the fight, so they don't need to cheat him at all, no reason for it...................if I were Horn, if what he is saying is true, then I would cancel the fight, then watch Uncle Bob get him good training facilities......................ASAP. Horn is just lucky Uncle Bob made him a fake champion......................wonder how long he will spend in the hospital? Or morgue?
