Which post Spinks light heavyweight has the best chance vs Bob Foster? 12 rounds IMO although Michael Moorer has a thin resume at 175, with modern rehydration, he would likely come in over 200 lbs. Moorer was a huge hitter with his right hook and solid left hand. Perhaps he could overpower Foster. I still favour Foster but you never know. I love RJJ but I think Foster is a bad stylistic match up for him. RJJ with his hands down is bound to get hit with Fosters left hook at some point…. Beterbiev is an interesting one. If he can get close and land that huge right, he has a chance. A real one. But he has been dropped twice himself and I suspect the 6’3 Foster will land something huge on him before Beterbiev can close the distance. Bivol is a terrific technical boxer but he can’t box off the back foot vs the taller Foster. Bivol will need to keep his right hand glued to his chin to prevent that left hook from landing, which means he will be hesitant to throw his right. Fosters 6’3 jab will bother Bivol and Foster will also let his hard right go to counter Bivols jab. Bivol does not have the offensive tools to threaten Foster and he is too defensively minded. Foster will outjab and Outland him and Bivol may last the distance if he stays defensive. I give Ward less of a chance than I give Bivol. I give hard hitting southpaws like Tarver and Stevenson a punchers chance but that’s it.
If Dick Tiger could give Foster a decent go before getting blotted, then I think guys like Beterbiev could certainly close him down and make him play their game.I'm not sure how well Foster does without the space. Personally I'd like to see how a Kovalev / Foster fight would play out.
yes Beterbiev does have a solid chance but he has been dropped twice. He would be quite vary of Fosters power.
Although I do not think he wins----Virgil Hill. Safety first style and the jab and move helps a ton. And the likelyhood the bout takes place in Bismarck. I think Hill can go the distance and win a few rounds. Maybe like 3 or possibly 4 in front of that homecrowd. Not trouble Bob to the degree Ahumada did, but troublesome and not really the big trouble category. More like what might get called a Foster B game type thing.
