Which PPV main event is better value for money: May v Berto or GGG v Lemieux?

Funny thing is, MayPac would probably be more of a mismatch than either of these two fights. :hey

 

I honestly wouldn't and won't pay for either. But between the 2 I'd pick Mayweather.

Mayweather-Berto is a bad fight no question. But when a MJ or Kobe is on there final lap you watch if for no other reason than to see a legends final run.

 

Neither are PPV worthy, IMO. But, GGG vs Lemieux is the better matchup...by miles.

 

Damn Rummy, after reading through the thread I almost forgot the title was "Which PPV main event is better value for money?" and thought it was "Which PPV will sell more?"
For christ sake just make a pick and stop taking up 3 pages rationalizing why you're going to sit on the fence.

 

It all depends on the undercard. GGG-Lemieux is a much better fight in all possible ways, but mayweather has a lot of money and a lot of push, he can put exciting fighters on the undercard to make up for a **** main event.

 

No contest, Golovkin/Lemieux.....................

Actually, Void/Berto is not PPV..................

 

its more a reflection of mayweathers marketability than value of his fight
value is what you receive for your money as a whole package
question, was it worth the money?...there is some truth to what you are saying that people deciding is a big factor, but they are buying his fight more as a fan of floyd then as a fight fan. Then again, its all relative to what kind of fights do you like, technical or action packed. I would say that action packed fights is what most are after.

Say what you will about Haymon but it seems he is trying to get rid of the PPV business model in Boxing. I do credit him for that.

 

Clearly Mayweather vs. Berto from an economic standpoint. That being said, if Floyd does fight Berto, I'm not buying that ****. I'll S****m it but I refuse to pay money for it. :good:good

 

but what DO YOU THINK is better, dont tell me about ppl who just want to throw a party and will order Floyd as thats all they know in the "fighting" scene , you take a market of ppl who never followed boxing aside from Floyd and you are supprised they will order it ?
this question is to the boxing fans around here , not to the SUPER casuals.

its 100% Floyd outsells GGG , it doesnt mean its a worst deal for a boxing fan.

 

I'm paying big buckz for Mayweather vs Berto.

Not paying for Lemieux vs GGG.

Mayweather fights are an experience, he's the best ever. Why would you not pay for it?

It's like watching Jordan, Ali in their last years.
