Baer fights nothing like either brother, with nowhere near the skill or control and was in absolute fear in that fight.

    Horrible comparison.

agreed but it was not the skill or style of baer in comparison to the brothers. instead what did it was the form of louis, possibly his best. that louis beats almost any heavy ever imo

Louis has great firepower, no doubt.

Would Wlad and/or Vit be able to control the pace and distance, as they are so good at doing. Don't underestimate how freakin' bone crushing Wlad's jab is.

I think Louis beats both of them. Wlad would be his toughest fight, because of that jab and wlads unbelievable two fisted power. Wlad actually could take Joe Louis out, and early too. I just think Louis would break through Wlad's outstanding guard at some point and put him away with a dazzling combination. David Haye showed that even with a good 2 punch combination, you can connect flush on wlad if you have top handspeed and accuracy.

Louis would counter-punch Wlad´s jab with his right hands and get the KO, IMO....

Agreed Wlad and Vit are different propositions and very underrated here, I still favour Louis. You could also argue that Louis's natural weight is at cruiser, just imagine what he would do to that division.

To completely " clean out " an entire division is a very tall proposition regardless of who you are and what era you're indigenous to. Very few fighters in the history of the sport have completely flattened a whole weight class leaving no stones unturned. It would also be particularly difficult for a fighter who has never stepped foot in a particular era, to travel in a time machine and immediately adapt to the nuances of that period, resulting in 100% success.

Even though that same version of Louis was dominated by Max Schmeling just months later?

    Ike Williams
Louis (definitely at cruiser, doubtful against Wlad)
    Marciano at cruiser
    Robinson
    Greb
    Armstrong
    Langford at light heavy
    Charles at light heavy

That's only a start. There's plenty of guys who are lesser known who could do the same.
