BEST* = he can make you good fights that are not too dangerous and help you develop until you move into your peak, he can get you a title fight when you are ready, some good defences that will make you an established name and help you reach your peak and then the big fights against the very best such that even after a loss he can get your career back on track against top opposition and, when you are ready, another title fight/unification fight.

A "good promoter" is an oxymoron so I can't really chime in with an answer. Corruption is so entrenched in the promotion game that it's sickening.

decebal didnt ask who was a "good" promoter.

he asked who was the best promoter to handle up and comers/prospects to guide them to a future title shot.

What I'm saying is I can't pick a "better" of two evils. It's sorta like American politics. You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't.

Ok, then pick the most evil one...according to your definition.

do you think it would better for a fighter to be a freelancer?

having only 1 fight contract at a time to the highest bidding promoter?

    All promoters are evil *******s.

We need a commission and standards that promoters need to adhere too.

i think BHop has done that. He's his own manager and I think he only negotiates on a per fight basis.

The problem with that is he never became a "BigName" fighter for years, even when he kept on winning and defending his belt.

He only got big after beating Tito Trinidad.

Sometimes you need someone to sell you to the boxing public.

In Europe it has to be a tie between Warren and Universum (Kohl).
