Ok so the hypothetical situation is that you're an up and coming contender with solid although unexceptional skills. You can do everthing fairly well but don't own a spectacular punch. Which of the above would you add to your arsenal if you could?

I went with what I think would be an unpopular choice: Zab's left uppercut. I realise the guy can't fight more than 4 rounds and lacks the mental fortitude to realise the potential that his skills indicate, but that fast, surperbly timed left uppercut from the outside of his has sparked so many fighters.

Floyd's straight right and Judah's left uppercut are the best of the bunch.

Everything off the jab, though! If you built this poll around a very good, yet not holms/Liston exceptional jab, you are a nefarious *******.

Given that, I go with the Pac right. That means you have the wild card as a southpaw and can hopefully go a little further than your otherwise middling skills allow by maximizing your natural advantage.

Shouldn't it be Pac's straight left?

Nah, too boring. Too many people would pick it. It's definately his best and most destructive punch but it doesn't thrill me as a stand-alone punch like the others do. The others are works of art that with precision timing can be used on their own to finish a fight. When I think of Pac's straight left I think of a one/two or a blindingly fast flurry.

Lol, yeah, I'd pick his left if it was there. Not sure about is right, it was a beauty against Hatton. But this is Ricky "I get hit, man" Hatton so I'll wait till I see it used against someone with head movement :D

For now I'll go with JMM's upper. For someone who doesn't have lightning quick hands it sure lands a lot and is pretty brutal :good

Can't believe Cotto's body shot isn't running away with this, it's easily the best punch up there. PBF specializes in quick left hooks, Pac's right hook is basically brand-new, but it's nice.

I guess Judah's uppercut would be pretty devestating if he could ever land it clean.

I like kesslers upper cut more then his jab, jab great, but to me with that upper cut he had a good chance to beat calzaghe, those were great shot he landed
